The battey life is very long and the camera holds a lot ... ...say this is just a Leica branded Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 and is not worth the extra money. Perhaps it wasn't when they were first released, but now the prices are coming down I would definitely buy this over the Panasonic. One last thought.....I have dropped my C-Lux 2 on a couple of occassions but it has withstood the impact and works perfecty. ... more
I have personally never been one for 'sexy' gadgets. To me a camera is a camera and it either works well or it doesn't. That was until I purchased a Leica C-Lux 2. In my opinion this is one sexy little camera. It is slim and light, so light you forget it's even in your pocket. The picture quality really surprised me, I was expecting the pictures to be ok, but what came out was amazing. It is so easy to use, very user friendly and the instruction manual was simple enough for even the non-techiest of people to use. The battey life is very long and the camera holds a lot more pictures than you would think. The price of these little babies varies immensley, I think you can pick them up at around £175 these days, however I bought mine at around £350 2 years ago. I have read previously that people say this is just a Leica branded Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 and is not worth the extra money. Perhaps it wasn't when they were first released, but now the prices are coming down I would definitely buy this over the Panasonic. One last thought.....I have dropped my C-Lux 2 on a couple of occassions but it has withstood the impact and works perfecty.

This is an amazing camera with brilliant picture quality the quality of the pictures is so good that when i published them I was shocked at how they reflected reality.
It has a very simple easy to use interface the camera is also quite small but not so small that it falls out of your hand.
The camera is very reliable it can hold alot more images than you would expect the it to.
The camera is quite small and light so it does not weigh alot because ... ...pocket without knowing the camera is even there.
I think it is a very stylish camera it has an ergonomic design which makes it easy to hold in your hand.
The camera costs between £300 to £400 depending on the saler I thought this was quite cheap considering what you get.
The camera comes with a very simple instruction manual which I found it easy to use and I was using the camera after around 15 minutes. ...

The large 2.5" monitor of the LEICA C-LUX 2 is excellent for assessing the frame and image composition when digiscoping. The optical image stabilization ensures shake-free nature shots even in poor light and extreme conditions. This, plus the camera's short shutter delay, enables unique moments to be reliably recorded.
