better for the price! Applying the varnish The way the brush has been designed, has, apparently, been done so in a very scientific way to ensure that the varnish goes on correctly. Apparently there are a certain number of bristles and the length of the wand has also been calculated carefully to ensure the best results. When I took the lid off the brush did look very sleek and the length of the wand was quite a bit shorter to what I was used to. When applying it I felt as though the shorter wand made me have more control over applying it which was really good. It helped me have a more steady hand when stroking it along the nail. shimmer', to go over the top. Now I first tried 'Butterfly Wings' in the evening under artificial light and I was a bit unsure about the colour. I'm not keen on gold coloured nail varnishes and like my French to look bright and crisp. Although this wasn't gold, I could see the sheer peach colour, yet it also had a blueish/purple tinge to it. This sounds odd but the blue tint makes the pink part of your nail look bright and healthy and ultimately, for me, this outshines the peachiness which I'm less keen on. There are two important things about Leighton Denny which, for me make this the perfect French manicure - 1. No more faffing about with stickers, or painting a white tip on then removing it umpteen times when it just won't go on properly. 2. It lasts for days and days, literally. Leighton Moss Nature Reserve

Advantages: Lots of Wildlife, Unique Habitat
Disadvantages: Admission Charges For Non RSPB Members

Leighton Moss is an area of extensive reed beds and salt marshes near Morecambe in Lancashire. It is the largest remaining habitat of its type in the north west of England and the whole site is owned and managed by the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds). I have some very fond memories of this Nature Reserve as a young Child, when my Parents used to bring me here en route to our holidays in the Lake District. This vast expanse of reed beds was always something magical to me, with its footpaths that cut between these reeds, which at over ten feet high must have appeared huge when I was so small. In later life I have visited similar habitats in Norfolk and Suffolk and especially around the Norfolk Broads but when I first started to come here this type of vegetation was unique to me.
