I had never used this range before although I had often seen Leighton's shows on QVC, but I was tempted to try this shade. The polishes are quite expensive at £11 each but I bought a set of 4 polishes in different shades for £27, so bargains can be found if you buy a set, either from QVC or the big beauty websites. I was very impressed with the quality of the product. The brush is long and feels nicely balanced in the hand, ideal if you are clumsy like me! The varnish itself is a nice consistency, not too thick, so it glides on and is easy to control. You do need a couple of coats for a dark shade like this one.
I chose this shade as it's trendy and sophisticated with no sparkly bits. It looks like black but is actually the deepest darkest green - very unusual and I have had lots of compliments. It's smart enough for work - almost a 'neutral' - but still feels like you're making a statement with your nails.
I found this polish lasted a lot longer than other even expensive brands. I always use a base and top coat but usually end up with flaking polish. After 4 days the polish was still looking fresh but wearing a little at the tips. If this was a paler colour I could probably have got away with it for a week.
All in all I would recommend this product for its ease of application and staying power. I am also keen to try some of the other shades in this range.
