Living in Dover means that we don't have too many facilities. Dover Leisure Centre is about the only sporting facility in Dover other than the football and rugby pitches.
Location
Dover Leisure Centre is located on Townwall Street in Dover which is pretty much on the seafront and within walking distance to the Port of Dover. It is also within walking distance of Dover town, Dover Priory Station and Pencester bus station.
Facilities
There are two swimming pools at Dover Leisure Centre. There is a main swimming pool which is 25 metres and also a learner / childrens pool. In the main pool, there are two lanes of the swimming pool which are sectioned off to create one slow, and one fast swimming lane.
The rest of the pool is then literally just open water where people can swim at their own leisure.

The village hotel & leisure club in Wirral
Have recently joined here and at £32 per month, each, we feel we have a bargain. They even waved the joining fee, normally £70.
We joined, my wife and I, on the ?Flexi? promotion. This is where you are only tied in for 3 months as opposed to the ?Full? 12 month tie in.
Extras given include £15 to spend in their restaurants, 10% discounts in the bars and coffee shop and 2 free vouchers for friends/family. The vouchers entitle the user to a free week in the gym, pool etc worth £70.
If you recommend someone and they join you also get £50 of a nights stay in the hotel.
A fair few incentives but to be honest we just want to use the leisure facilities.
My wife is recovering from Breast Cancer and she has some back problems resulting from the Radiography. She ...

10 sessions at the NRG Zone classes which are for secondary school pupils. This is to ensure they fully understand how to operate the equipment and also to be certain they are exercising for the right reasons. Sadly I have seen a teenage girl refused access to the equipment because she was dangerously underweight and there for all the wrong reasons.
The council also funds children's sessions called Open all Hours which is where my daughter picked up her love of the gym. Confusingly, this isn't run by Edinburgh Leisure and only runs during school term times but it is a great facility for children in S1-S5 at high school in the city and gives them use of the pool, gym and other activities laid on for them.
Open all Hours runs at various venues on Friday evenings and there is a girls' only one at Leith Victoria on Saturdays. My daughter ...
