Take advantage of the removable disk drive technology by adding 4 GB Microdrive to your ThinkPad notebook. This Microdrive weighs less than a AA battery, has a footprint measuring less than one square inch, and can hold almost 2800 times more data or images than a diskette. It offers high performance for applications that have high data/image and portability requirements. The 4 GB Microdrive uses HDD technology to store information. The PC Card lets you share data with other ThinkPad notebooks and devices. It has an industry-standard Compact Flash Type II form factor, and included PC Card adapter so you can plug the Microdrive into a Type II PC card slot2. With its small size and industry-standard removable format, this Microdrive is an ideal storage solution for "go anywhere" computing applications used by today's "go anywhere" mobile computer users.
Advantages: many unique features, robust, trustworthy Disadvantages: more expensive than some brands
...key, right click key, two ctrl's and an alt gr.
It also has various machine specific keys, such as lock, monitor off, stand by, hibernate, media pause/play/forward/back, as well as three dedicated volume buttons. I like these volume controls because they make a display come up on the screen, which shows how loud it is. This is in contrast to other laptops where you just keep pressing 'up' until it doesn't seem to get any louder - you don't actually know.
FEATURES
Features is where the ThinkPad really comes into its own.
Apart from features that you're not aware of, but are there, such as the RollCage, which adds extra support to the case, and a special 'airbag', which detects when the laptop is falling, and stops the harddrive to avoid damage accordingly, there are also a number of useful features.
One unique thing is the Think...

Advantages: Durable, Powerful, Good Tablet, Amazing battery life, Never overheats, quiet, expansion capabilities, small lightweight, Disadvantages: old looking, bad graphics card, no CD/DVD drive, bad speaker position
...a 'legacy serial' and a parallel port, along with Ethernet and modem ports and a DVD multi-recorder. I'm not entirely sure about what it adds though, there may be more.
Small and light. At least that is what I think. I think the laptop is small and lightweight as I can fit it into my backpack and carry it around without any trouble. This is at the expense of a CD drive or any spare bays for additional harddrives (or not that I know of)
A good keyboard and mouse, or that is what I think. I think the keyboard is durable, as I have smashed it around with games like step mania, and a key has never broken off or been damaged. I like the mouse, weirdly, I think it is great for gaming, even though it is a small red dot, you can move it left or right forever, and it will always return to the same place, so you don't have to pick up your mouse...

...would be too large, well it has great saving technology and saves files much smaller than you would expect.
The screen has an anti glare feature to help protect your eyesight - which is always an advantage. This notebook has to be one of the most securest I have ever seen with its awesomely intelligent fingerprint recognition so that you never have to remember a password ever again. It features up to five built-in communications capabilities: Wi-Fi wireless, Bluetooth® technology, Ethernet, 56K V.92 modem and Infrared port. An infra red port is great especially communicating the tablet with your mobile phone always seems to be the popular option.
The PC has Active Protection System which is an integrated, user-configurable motion sensor that continuously monitors your ThinkPad notebook and provisionally stops the harddrive...

I have been using the Maxtor OneTouch 4 for almost a year now and so far it has been very reliable and worth every penny. It can store 500 GB which is more than enough for most kinds of media.
I use it for storing videos and photos. The 500GB comes... more
Maxtor is a big Hard Drive manufacturer and I have used them before even buying drives to put into two of my own PCs and both times the drives have worked fine, knowing this I thought they would make good external drives...
