...I purchased this notebook after my old Fujitsu took a tumble down the stone steps outside my home 3 months ago, and I have to say that for the money, this is a great bit of kit.
Firstly its a core duo and my machine came with a fingerprint reader for added security as well as a dual layer DVD burner. An integrated web-cam and integrated blue-tooth and wireless connections.
Software included are 1 year subscription to Norton security suit, easy CD/DVD burner, lenovo support tools, soft-ex omnipass programme for fingerprint scanner. Diskeeper for defragmenting your hard drive and lots more.
I only needed to charge the battery when I first took the notebook out of the box, there was a minimal amount of setting up IE giving the notebook a name etc, but it was not difficult to do, the onscreen instructions were foolproof.

Like others in the Lenovo line, upgrading the laptop is easy without completely dismantling the entire laptop. Each area has its own cover held in by one or two Phillips head screws. This includes the ram, hard drive/wireless card, and the CPU/heatsink area. Almost any upgrade the average or power notebook user would ever need to do to this laptop throughout its useful lifespan could be dealt with through these sections.

* Microphone
* Headphone socket
* Security Lock
* Power Connector

...port, along with Ethernet and modem ports and a DVD multi-recorder. I'm not entirely sure about what it adds though, there may be more.
Small and light. At least that is what I think. I think the laptop is small and lightweight as I can fit it into my backpack and carry it around without any trouble. This is at the expense of a CD drive or any spare bays for additional hard drives (or not that I know of)
A good keyboard and mouse, or that is what I think. I think the keyboard is durable, as I have smashed it around with games like step mania, and a key has never broken off or been damaged. I like the mouse, weirdly, I think it is great for gaming, even though it is a small red dot, you can move it left or right forever, and it will always return to the same place, so you don't have to pick up your mouse, and move it back to the middle.

It's a seven day diet start to finish, no weighing and no counts. You should lose at least 1/2 a stone (if you dont cheat). I did I mean lose half a stone.
