Your ThinkPad notebook has become a vital part of your success. But as you add applications and data you might need to add more storage capability to handle the load. You can either increase your hard drive capacity with a larger primary system hard drive, or attach a secondary hard drive with the optional ThinkPad 2nd HDD Adapter for UltraBay Slim for select systems.
Advantages: Build Quility, Thinkpad Features, Good Performance. Disadvantages: Not flashy, slightly heavy/bulky

Portability- This laptop weighs around 3kg, which is heavy, but not too bad. Buyers looking for a laptop to take travelling should look at the 14" models.
Extra features- This laptop came preinstalled with Lenovo's superb 'ThinkVantage' suite of programs which includes backup facilities and programs to configure connectivity options. Great stuff. Oh, and it has a keyboard light, which I am using now.
For £399, I think this represents the best entry level notebook on the market. Grab one while you can....

Advantages: easy to use, long battery life Disadvantages: no mouse touchpad, slow due to security software
...harddrive space no problem at all- I store music and work and photos on it, but very few and short videos, and haven't installed many games. The 512Mb RAM is possibly a little low- Lenovo automatically install software that regularly reminds you to back up your harddrive and defragment, etc- which is good, as it means you are more likely to do so, which is good for your machine, however bad as it obviously slows down the machine further. At startup, therefore, the machine is rather slow, however speeds up once everything has registered and the computer has sorted itself out.
Another useful thing with this laptop is a little light that you can switch on so that you can see your keyboard in the dark, if that is something you would need.
As with all laptops, this one has it's own allocation of function keys on the keyboard, however, again...
