...hundreds of passwords but instead you now have a fingerprint, which nobody can forge, copy, or use, unless someone somehow manages to chop your finger off. But I believe that's very unlikely!
The colour is sleek and quite nice although it would be better if it was available in a silver colour. And weighing approximately 1.8 kilograms, which is less than 2 bags of sugar, you can easily say that this is extremely light and if you want to take your PC tablet away from home, you easily can with no difficulty at all. The dimensions are stated above but to get an idea, it is slightly larger than an A4 piece of paper which couldn't be more of a perfect size.

Advantages: Durable, Powerful, Good Tablet, Amazing battery life, Never overheats, quiet, expansion capabilities, small lightweight, Disadvantages: old looking, bad graphics card, no CD/DVD drive, bad speaker position
...Personally, I have had a great experience with this laptop. I will start with the bad, which is only a few things, and then end with the good, which is LOADS of things.
First of all, the looks, like all IBM ThinkPad's, it looks hideous, or that is what I think. It is black, and has this weird, dull material on the back, which makes it look very old, like a spectrum from 10 years ago. It has this HUGE battery at the back, which makes it look horrible, if you remove the battery looks much better. When you look at it, it does seem as if it is from the 90s, and I personally think that is partly down to the IBM logo, which looks old, and reminds you of the time where computers were merely command lines, and the only thing that came out of the speakers, were beeps.
Also, the graphics card, is crap, that is really all I can say...

Advantages: many unique features, robust, trustworthy Disadvantages: more expensive than some brands
...is the hard drive password, which it asks for as soon as it starts the hard drive. This has similar properties to those just stated, but I'm told that they even work if you take the hard drive out and place it in another computer, so your data should be safe from your garden-variety thieves (It may not stand up to proper thieves).
INPUTS/OUTPUTS
This model has three USBs slots, a monitor out, a line out, and a mic in. It also has bluetooth and wireless radio.
It does not have S-VIDEO, or infra-red.
OS
This ThinkPad comes loaded with Windows XP SP2 Professional, and says it is 'Vista Ready', but I think it isn't, unless you upgrade it.
HARDWARE
The Intel Centrino Duo 1.66 GHz processor is perfectly suitable to everyday work and leisure based tasks, but may not be up to any hardcore gaming, but I'm sure any hardcore gamers will know...

After knocking a full cup of tea over my laptop (and destryoing the insides completely) I claimed on my insurance and was sent an Acer Aspire 5315. It costs around £300 to buy in the shops, placing it at the bottom end of the price range for laptops at... more
I have owned several different ThinkPad's over the years. I have enjoyed them all and found them to be extremely useful and reliable. I knew that I wanted a decent quality portable laptop that would be suitable for all the basics.

I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
Over the past few months my son (14) and my daughter (10) have both become increasingly interested in the computer. They are both very much into BEBO and MSN and my son is using the computer more and more for his schoolwork. This is now causing no end... more
I bought mine on ebay for £360, I needed it for university study and it's working really well for small documents like word and excel and it will also play some games well, mainly Unreal Tournament online :-)
The disk space of 60GB is plenty for me.... more
