I used to have tons of problems with computers, big surprise! I have tried all of the major brands like Compaq, Acer, Dell, E-Machine, HP, etc. These have all been desktops. After shopping around I found the best deal I could possibly find. The Lenovo R61I, It had all the features I could think of that I would ever need with a price I could afford! My only concern was the performance that it could have. I figured with all the features there had to be some draw back. I powered up the display and begun running random applications individually and several at a time. There was a split second lag however nothing to be worried about. I have had a few problems with this but all of my problems I had with this machine equal up to less than 1% of the problems I had with my other computers. In the rare event that you do have a problem you can just press the blue "Think Vintage" button while booting to start the recovery interface. This will let you do everything from reformat to system restore. With the massive 160 GB hard drive it exceeds multiple desktops capabilities and almost makes them obsolete! This machine also has a multimedia key pad which allows you to navigate through songs in windows media player without even bringing the player to the front! The build in finger pad with tap sensor makes it easy to navigate. Speaking of easy did I mention that there is a built in microphone? If you have a softphone there's no need for the extra mic on the table now. Worried about someone stealing your phone numbers you have stored in softphone? Worry no more, the Lenovo R61I has a built in fingerprint scanner that really works. Just slide your' finger over the sensor and you're on your' way! With laptops I have used in the past the screen tends to loosen up and not want to remain upright. That isn't the case with this one, I have used this to the point that the keys are smooth and shiny as opposed to the fine texture of the mint condition and the screen keeps standing. I would never go to another company. The amazing security, 1 GB wifi card, cd/dvd r & rw drive, bluetooth and extreme durability even after dropping the machine have me hooked for life.
