Well you're looking at one of the greatest tablets ever. Versatile and sleek with its swivel hinge allowing the stunning screen to rotate a total of 180 degrees, providing the flexibility to take handwritten notes with the cool new Tablet Digitizer Pen. A laptop like you have never seen, and better than ever. Combined with the latest Intel Centrino technology, you can connect your laptop to the internet wirelessly and being even more convenient, it has to be the lightest tablet with 12 inch screen i have ever seen.

Lenovo's executive headquarters are in Purchase, New York, USA with principal operations in Beijing, China, and Raleigh, North Carolina, USA and an enterprise sales organisation worldwide. The company employs more than 19,000 people worldwide. The company is very trustable with its products and their products are of a very high quality and standard. Lenovo is a worldwide leader in technology and have been around since 1981 so they have plenty of experience. And if you do have questions to ask about their products, they offer great and quick support. My overall opinion of this company is extremely high.

As previously explained, the Intel Centrino technology allows you to connect wirelessly to the internet, which is extremely handy. You may not think so, but it is far better than having wires lurking around everywhere. But more importantly, you can be on the internet in almost any room of your house, whether that means, you're chatting to your MSN buddies online whilst cooking, or even in the bath, or anywhere you want basically. And the good thing is that it still holds a strong internet connection without it breaking, and it is really common for laptop's to have. It has built in speakers but they're not amazing, as they don't have that particular bass that you would want from those better speakers, but with a laptop being so small, the speakers are still great. I would get speakers which can be connected to your tablet externally with a bass.

And this is even better with the stunning fingerprint reader for total security. The Integrated Fingerprint Reader is built conveniently into the palm rest area of your notebook, making your passwords available at your fingertip - how great is that? Security software is preloaded for an integrated solution out of the box. You seriously cannot get a higher level of security as a standard feature on a PC from any other manufacturer. You're probably what this can do for you and well it can do lots! It saves you remembering all those hundreds of passwords but instead you now have a fingerprint, which nobody can forge, copy, or use, unless someone somehow manages to chop your finger off. But I believe that's very unlikely!

The colour is sleek and quite nice although it would be better if it was available in a silver colour. And weighing approximately 1.8 kilograms, which is less than 2 bags of sugar, you can easily say that this is extremely light and if you want to take your PC tablet away from home, you easily can with no difficulty at all. The dimensions are stated above but to get an idea, it is slightly larger than an A4 piece of paper which couldn't be more of a perfect size.

Features

Chipset Type
………………………………………………………….Mobile Intel 915GM Express

This is an impressive laptop and very quick with its 1.5 GHz processor which is extremely fast, considering even some of the best PCs today also run at this speed although frequently, some run at 2GHz. For those of you who don't know much about computers, the processor is basically how fast the computer is at managing files and applications. And obviously, the faster, the better!

*****Storage*****
Hard Drive
………………………………………………………….60 GB - 4200 rpm

Details above are of the memory and storage and this tablet has an astounding 60 GB hard drive which is an extremely large amount of storage which is unlikely that you will finish. In comparison to other laptops, one I previously had, only had approximately 18 GB of space, and like any laptop I've used, you only really need to use about 10 GB of space. The rest of the space is just used for extra software, and other storage space for music and films. Yes - the great thing about more storage allows you to store absolutely loads of films and movies on your PC and it is absolutely great. If you imagine that you want to watch a movie in the car, well you know you've got a great selection of movies to watch right on your laptop!

*****Card Reader*****
Type
………………………………………………………….Card reader

Supported Flash Memory Cards
………………………………………………………….SD Memory Card

Well this laptop can also read SD memory cards and these are commonly used in digital cameras, so if you were having difficulty, transferring pictures and videos from your digital camera to your computer, well now, this laptop has just made your life much easier. Simply take the memory card and insert it into your tablet and away you go!

Now, unfortunately, in my opinion the tablet PC would have been better off being available as widescreen however, nonetheless, a 12.1 inch TFT screen is still great. The colour resolution and quality of the images is astounding. When watching movies on this, I couldn't really believe that a laptop so small and compact could carry such great technology to create stunning pictures as I was seeing them on the screen. The 16.7 million colours were brilliant and vivid providing awesome detail as well as clarity. The audio was great, but if you want the best quality sound you could possibly get, then I highly recommend you buy some plug and play speakers with a bass.

The tablet has a digital pen which I thought was great. Because with its swivel hinge, you can write on the laptop screen like it is a book. Please see pictures I have uploaded for more details on the features. But the pen is extremely useful and quick for taking notes if you are like me and don't type very fast. The tablet has a standard built in 56k modem which is pretty much only for dial up connection, but I highly recommend you get broadband and connect the laptop wirelessly to the internet using the Intel Centrino technology. It will be so much efficient and easier as well.

The power and runtime of this computer is great and it delivers well. It lasts to an adequate 6-8 hours and my personal opinion is that it is actually quite good - if you think of it terms of, that it will last you the majority of the day if you are at work and you would probably not even use the computer for 8 hours a day I don't think. The charger is supplied with the tablet so nothing to worry about there.

3 years warranty is great if anything bad should happen to your tablet although the battery has a one year warranty which is a bit of a shame. And I definitely, think like most computers today, Microsoft Windows XP is the perfect operating system you could have. And it is so simple and easy to use and there are loads of online forums which guide you to how to use XP if you don't already know how to.

These are a list of the few expansion slots available and they're very useful. And below are just other things you probably don't need to know but it's worth keeping in mind when using this tablet PC.

Like I haven't said enough in this review already, but here are just more things you should know about the features. To begin with, the Tablet is compatible with the majority of windows applications and other software. When you are in handwriting mode using the digital pen, the tablet can easily recognise your lettering and convert it into proper text, or you can just save your handwriting as it is but you are probably wondering that the file would be too large, well it has great saving technology and saves files much smaller than you would expect.

The screen has an anti glare feature to help protect your eyesight - which is always an advantage. This notebook has to be one of the most securest I have ever seen with its awesomely intelligent fingerprint recognition so that you never have to remember a password ever again. It features up to five built-in communications capabilities: Wi-Fi wireless, Bluetooth® technology, Ethernet, 56K V.92 modem and Infrared port. An infra red port is great especially communicating the tablet with your mobile phone always seems to be the popular option.

The PC has Active Protection System which is an integrated, user-configurable motion sensor that continuously monitors your ThinkPad notebook and provisionally stops the hard drive to help prevent some hard drive crashes when a fall or similar event is detected. The ThinkPad HDD Shock Absorber provides impact security from crashes that could take place when setting the notebook on a tough surface while in use. And as previously stated, the tablet has a battery life of up to 8.5 hours.

It has super and outstanding performance and manages applications very quickly and efficiently. As well as this it also has a recovery feature if you lose any files or work by accident. It has a TrackPoint pointing device are what set ThinkPad notebooks apart from the rest. And this is just a small ball in the centre of the keyboard to control the pointer or cursor on the screen. Now I thought this was a disadvantage, because I actually prefer using touch pads on laptops but nonetheless, it's still very easy to use and straight forward.

º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º PRICEº¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤

The price as you would probably expect is on the high side of things and is available from approximately £2,200.00. I personally think that if you are spending quite a lot of money then this is definitely the tablet you should buy and is definitely worth the price with all of its stunning and amazing features as well as the outstanding technology. If you think the price is a bit too high for your budget then it might be worth looking at buying the 40 GB hard drive model where as this one is 60GB. This is because the 40 GB model comes in the market at approximately £1,400, which is a lot of difference in price compared to this better more advanced model. Although, it is much slower and doesn't manage applications as well as this tablet does.

The cheapest I have seen this 60 GB model is at £2150. See below for more details as this is an astounding price!!!

Note: The 60BG model is "Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Tablet 1866"

Always look out for bargains - and a great place to start would be Ebay.
