...I've owned Lenovo/IBM laptops now for about 5 years - starting with a T20 and moving up through the lines to a T61 type 6464
I work in IT and have done a lot of contract and consulting work which means I get exposure to a broad range of different laptops. My friends who also work in IT also have a variety of different laptops. I can honestly say that I have never been jealous of anyone else's laptop (except for one friend who has the X61Tablet) in a very very long time - these machines are really great!
In this day and age there is very little to distinguish one manufacturer from another for the most part - it used to be a lot easier; a few years ago and you could look at the spec sheets of two laptops and you would immediately know which was the better machine. Now as battery life; CPU speed, RAM and HDD space and monitor sizes...

A good choice with price Review ofLenovo 3000 N200 0769 - Pentium Dual Core T2330 1.6GHz - 15.4" TFTby

Advantages: satisfactory Disadvantages: nothing found as yet
...The N200 has a high resolution 1,680 x1,050 15.4in display being its prime asset. This is backed up by nVidia GeForce Go 7300 graphics, up to 4GB of RAM, and faster Intel Core2Duo T7100 and T7300 CPUs. These new CPUs are the super power saving ones that form part of the Centrino platform. One thing that hasn't changed since last year is the overall design of the N-series chassis. With dimensions of 360mm x 267mm x 31.4mm and weighing in at 2.8kg it is exactly the same size and weight as its predecessor. The colour scheme also sticks to the tried and tested silver and slate combination with the former adorning the outside and the latter blanketing the inside. The N200s business credentials are further emphasised by the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner below and to the right of the keyboard. This works in conjunction with preloaded...

Advantages: Low price Disadvantages: Tiny speakers, Parts used from other makes
...After taking new Lenovo 3000 N100 Laptop from showroom, I hardly could use it for 2 hours. The hard disk ( I was surprised to see Lenovo using hard disk from another make) was giving no response.
I took it to IBM service center next working day, the service center people asked me to leave it there and to pick it next day.
Next day I went there to collect the laptop, but they told me they will have to replace the hard disk and they don't have a hard disk in their service center, they need more time, they will call me when my laptop will be fixed.
I am a IT professional, after all these I can not rely on Lenovo and make one my workstation....
