Advantages: Slim, compact, very trendy outlook and fast performance. Disadvantages: None really.
-sheet I always use this 1GB flash drive. It has a very good and fast data transfer rate. It?s safe, easier to carry and hassle free. I attached this flash drive to my keys for extra safety. I have lost four to five flash drive before. As it is very small it is very difficult to realize when I drop/lose it somewhere. So I think it?s better to be attached with my key chain.
Sometimes, my PC does not detect this flash drive. But if I restart my computer then it detects the flash Drive easily. Other than that, I did not face any difficulties or problems using this USB flash drive. I am really happy with the performance of it.
~Compatibility~
? It works fine with any available USB connection s (both 1.1 and 2.0). But it performs better and faster in USB 2.0 connection as it has better transfer rate 480Mbit/Sec.
? It is compatible ...
Advantages: Speed of small transfers Disadvantages: No ReadyBoost, feels cheap
Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places.
Speed
For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past.
Problems
So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could.
Size
The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch.
Feel
The Kingston feels rather cheap and plastic considering the price I paid for it anyway.
Over all this is not a bad ...
Advantages: U3 support Disadvantages: Intrusive programme everytime you plug it into a computer
The Toshiba U3 flash drive provides a versatile way to store your memory. It comes in 4 sizes - 512Mb, 1Gb, 2Gb and 4Gb. It supports U3 and allows the user to install programmes on the USBdrive, and then run it on the computer directly.
--- the BASICS ---
The Toshiba U3 flash drive is shaped as a normal USBdrive - long and thin. It has a cap to cover the opening of the USB port. The cap is connected to the main part by a small string which comes with the drive. Other than that the drive has no other parts.
The storage provided by the drive shows up as 3.79Gb. This is because 4Gb is actually 4,000,000 bytes. When divided by 1024 twice (into Kb and Mb) it is actually just 3.79Gb. Furthermore even more space is used up - this is illustrated by the fact that when the user plugs into the computer, it shows up as 2 drives - the removable ...
