Advantages: Bang for buck, specs and features Disadvantages: active matrix
LenovoThinkVisionL192 has been in my use for a year now and I cant say anything else to it:
It is amazing...
Sleek design of black and anodized aluminum combined with state of the art technology results in a mouthwatering candy for casual users and gamers.
Well, I have tested this monitor with different applications and I can rest assured that this monitor lives up to its stats.
Compared to a 17" widescreen that has the same stats, the 19" seems much more natural to the eyes and does not stress them...
Plus the 5 ms refresh rate ensures smooth and flawless motion.
300 candela per square meter might be somewhat stressful to the eyes but during daytime, it ensures good quality...
800:1 contrast gives more natural and pleasant color and looks, to me, even more appealing.
Somewhat not good is the active matrix feature. After I ...
Advantages: 65% recycled plastics and 70% recycled packaging materials Disadvantages: None as of yet
After searching for a while for a new screen i stumbled across the Lenovo Thinkvision L1711p. And was very happy with my purchase. Delivery was quick. And after a long wait, plugged it in to use. Screen is very easy to install, good quality, and with 65% recycled plastics and 70% recycled packaging materials, gives you a self satisfation that you are doing your little bit for the environment. I used the monitor on a number of different desktops and managed to get it to work on all of them with no effort at all. It runs well even after being on for a long period of time and does not seem to be producing and problems. Am definately going to be getting one for the office. Would highly recommend to anyone. ...
Advantages: Built in webcam. fingerprint recognition that works, good customer support. Disadvantages: Slightly sluggish compared to some higher end machines.

Technical Bits:
The laptop has a Core Duo processor (I think mine is 1.7Ghz not 1.83 as listed in the header). It has 512MB RAM, a DVD writer, fingerprint recognition and a nifty web cam in the lid. It has built in Wifi which works well. It has 4 USB ports, although annoyingly these are on the side - I prefer them at the back (especially fr the mouse). It also ...
