Advantages: Good description of nature and the world around him Disadvantages: Nowhere near the kind of Prophecies it intimates
LeonardodaVinci was born 15 April 1452 in Vinci, Italy, learning mastery of painting and sculpture, as an apprentice. whilst acquiring the technical skills which led to his famous inventions. Working from Florence at the beginning of his career, daVinci became interested in architecture and geometry and has remained one of the greatest inventors and painters of all time.
When one thinks of LeonardodaVinci, his beautiful paintings, such as the Mona Lisa instantly come to mind, as well as, perhaps, his magnificent inventions, yet, we rarely see daVinci as a writer. Advantages: great read Disadvantages: can get prolonged
this is a truely amazing book. To be honest, i picked up this book as a time occupier during a flight, which i thought i would probably end up throwing away. I was wrong, i got so into it i just could not put it down, no matter what. all the mysteries and action just got me glued to the book.
if you like mysteries or anything normal, then you should definitely get this book, although, i would not recomend it for people who are lloking for a light read, as this requires a lot of attention to detail otherwise you will get lost in the duration.

As for the plot, its starts of slow but with suspense as a curator gets ...
Advantages: A good story with interesting sub-stories. Disadvantages: A little predictable
The Shakespeare Secret by J L Carrell is 'almost' to Shakespeare what the The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown is to LeonardoDaVinci.
There are twists and turns galore and in that respect it is a very compelling read. However, being of that genre, the twists are generally expected. You start by trusting no one and expect the worst and therefore are not too surprised when some of your expectations are realised.
The sub-story about The Bard and the theories surrounding his existance were fascinating and intriguing and I enjoyed this aspect of the novel.
I did, however find the book unnecessarily 'wordy' and this restricted, for me, the flow. Personally speaking, I found some of the elaborate phrasing gratutious (and I write this as a person who is happy to use 20 words when one will surfice).
However, as a good story, good plot ...
