Lexar JumpDrive Traveler - USB flash drive - 256 MB

Advantages: Portability, ease of use, money saver, plug-and-play.
Disadvantages: Small (ish) storage capacity.

...Lexar JumpDrive Secure ll is a USB flash drive with a good 512mb storage capacity. It boasts plug-and play functionality, allowing you to pop it into any usb drive on a mac, pc or server and drag and drop files 'to and fro' as desired. (Ease of access depends on the o/s you have installed, i use both OSX10 and vista, both work great!) Now 512mb isn't exactly the king as storages spaces go (you can get upto 8gb now!!!) but its perfect if you only transfer the smaller files such as word docs, the odd song or two. If you are moving larges directories then this isn't for you and would recommend you look at the size of file/directory you have and purchase accordingly. Perfect for the school/college user and you can pick them up for around £5.00 give or take a penny or two, so it is hardly a wallet burner. Lexar is a well trusted... Read review

...If you read my review of the SanDisk Cruzer USB 256mb Flash Drive (http://www.ciao.co.uk/SanDiskCruzerMiniFlashReview5466824), you'll know what these little babies are all about. But in case you don't want to read that review, in short, these are highly portable disk drives that can hold quantities of information from as little as 64mb to as much as 2gb. These simply plug into your USB drive on your computer, and you can copy and paste (or drag and drop) files from your computer directly onto this unit. The one I'm reviewing today is the Lexar JumpDrive 2.0 Pro, 256mb high-speed portable storage. Just to be precise, the Lexar JumpDrive comes in storage sizes of 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB. ...I was attracted to the Lexar JumpDrive Lightning flash drive as I scanned through several websites looking for a suitable flash drive. I short-listed a few but none could compete with the gorgeous and stylish look of the Lexar with its 1GB storage space. The flash drive interfaces with the PC or laptop via the USB port and it works on a plug and play basis on Microsoft operating systems. All Microsoft operating systems except Vista, but this isn't a problem for me at all as I don't intend to upgrade this software after hearing a few horror stories. Encased within a stainless steel shell that to me looks like chrome and shines like chrome you can sense that everyone around just wants to snatch it out of your hand as it is just so much sexier looking than the bland plastic devices.
