Advantages: A Fast, efficient printer with high quality print Disadvantages: The machine is quite noisy while warming up
...I bought this printer primarily for use in a small office where we produce our own stationery. The first machine that I had delivered was faulty and refused to print on bond paper. However, after two calls to the Lexmark call centre, I had a service engineer turn up on my doorstep and within 3 days, a brand new machine was delivered with no problems since.
It has a very good quality print and doesn't seem to have any problems taking cardstock up to 250g (though I haven't tried anything heavier). It copes extremely well with the demands of our business and is very fast producing both colour and especially black and white pages.
The only downside that I have found with this printer is the noise as it can be very 'clunky' while warming up and for several minutes afterwards. However, this is a small price to pay as the advantages by far...

Advantages: RESOLUTION, speed, ease of use, price Disadvantages: no
...The Lexmark Z31 comes from the Z-series line of lexmark inkjet printers. There is also a Z11 and a Z51.
The feature that attracted me to the Z31 was the high resolution. When printing in best mode the resolution is 1200x1200. It is a rather fast printer also. It can spit out up to 8 pages per minute in black ink and 3.5 pages per minute in color. The Hewlett Packard 880C which can print 9 pages per minute black and white and 6.5 pages in color has a resolution of only 600 dots per inch in black. (The Lexmark Z51 can print 10 pages per minute in black and 5 in color)
Paper feeding is easy. It has a better paper tray than the Lexmark 1100 which many people are familiar with. Although, it is different than the Hewlett Packard printers in that the tray is upright behind the printer. Although the tray only holds 25 pages of paper at a time...

Advantages: Everything you need in one complete package, excelent quality scans, copy, and prints! Disadvantages: Abit on the slow side when printing, cartridge status bar can be very unrealible!
...When the time came to send my Lexmark printer to the knackers' yard, I thought that an all in one machine would be the most economical choice!
Since being happy for a number of years with my Lexmark printer I had know hesitation in purchasing another product from them!
The reason I went for the X1180 model was it was the cheapest at the time and most importantly looked uncomplicated to use!
Design
When it arrived and I took it out of the box I was mildly pleased with the size (not as bulky as I thought it would be) but saying that it has a height of 16.3 cm and a depth of 30.8 cm which unless you've got a lot of space, which luckily I have, then it may not be practical for people with limited space. The machine itself looks stylish, a nice grey finish and only 5 buttons (I always think that the more buttons there are, the more...

Although primarily delighted with the speed and quality of this well designed, reliable product.
The speed at which the black toner cartridge ran out - nowhere near 4,000 sheets had been used, was disappointing, fortunately I did order a long-life... more
