the z601 is a very high quality printer and a stupidly low price, but that is to be expected from lexmark, who consistently churn out this great value printers each year, the latest offering is no exception.
this model is catered more for the home user rather than businesses, that saying it still gives off good quality prints, with a top resultion of 4800x1200 dpi this printer is certainly no slouch.
the printer is very simple to use, it has a usb connection, for for windows xp users it will plug in and work straight away, without hassel, the package i recieved included some printing software, a disney pack or something like that , i beleive it was nemo, which is great for the kids to play around with, making birthday cards, postesr and flyers, the printer then creates surperb prints, that look very professional for a 4 year old !!
photos can out very well, the high dpi insures even at a4 size u will get a good print, i tried out the speed of the printer and got about 7 ppm black and 5 colour, which is not amazing, but then again u are paying sub 30 pounds so what do you really expect?
overal a good cheap printer, perfect for home use, well done lexmark
