Lexmark E 330 Printer Review

Advantages: fast, durable, value-for-money, toner and photoconductor are separated
Disadvantages: black and white, not fully automatic print on both pages

Introduction Lexmark E 330, a workgroup monochrome laser printer, is my main printer at my workplace. With the size of around one foot in all dimensions (Width: 39.6 cm X Depth: 35.3 cm X Height: 24.9 cm), the printer can be placed almost everywhere in the office; on a tables, cupboards, shelves, or else. It is a network printer which surpassed 40,000 pages right now, so, I have many things to review about!! Installation and Setup On the very first day if my use, I've used it as my personal printer. The driver for Lexmark E 330 is included in the package which I found it can easily be installed. You can plug it in USB or parallel port as you like. Review of Lexmark E 330

Lexmark E120N - Networked Laser Printer

Advantages: Built-in network print server, fast printing, fairly low cost, support for Linux
Disadvantages: Non-trivial, but not impossible, network installation under Windows XP

for this printer. When I spoke to them, they didn't think they could, but they may be able to in the future. This was at first a major problem for me, as Lexmark consumables are notoriously expensive. However, after reading up on it a bit, I find that Lexmark offer a 'Returns Program' toner, which is priced at a reasonable level, with the condition that the toner be sent back to them after use, presumably to compete with the likes of Cartridge World. As I have mentioned, the main requirement for me was that the printer supported Linux, and this one does. It also supports: - Windows 98SE,ME,2000,XP,XP64,Server 2003 - Mac OS 9,10.2,10.3,10.4 - Linux (as mentioned) The system requirements vary between systems, but are not unreasonable. Lexmark X4650

Advantages: wi-fi printing, exellent scanning features
Disadvantages: ink prices

The Lexmark X4650 is a superb all in one printer. Setting it up was easy and connecting it to my wireless network was no hassle. The included CD basically is a step by step guide in to setting the product up and makes for a no-fuss setup. Scanning is excellent as when scanning documents, the included software recognizes text and you can edit your document. Also copying is simple, just pop the paper above the scanner and watch it print out. The photo printing options are limited to a few options such as either; print all, print last photo taken, date range (per month) or photo number. Another thing that may let the printer down is ink cartridge prices as these can become pricey.
