Manufacturer's product description
Waiting for pages to emerge from a color laser printer is as exciting as watching paint dry - and takes almost as long. At least it used to. Lexmark's Optra Color 1200 series printer boasts color printing speeds of 12 ppm. The Optra Color 1200 series printer is clearly revolutionary. It's also huge. The design owes to the layout of the printer's engine-the toner cartridges, which each contain a print head, lie in a row. Rather than passing through the printer four times (once for each color), your documents get their colors one-by-one in assembly-line fashion. The result? Print speeds four times faster than with color laser engines of the past. Another design advantage: support for large A3 format output. The network ready version of Optra Color 1200, Optra color 1200N comes with more memory installed and is equipped with Ethernet 10/100BaseTX Internal Print Server.
Advantages: Top of the range Disadvantages: Very pricey
...The LexmarkOptra T622dn is the fastest, smallest printer in its class. Finally, a format printer performance feautures in a high-volume A4 printer. The wait has been long and tiring, but definatly worthwhile.
The lexmark is a symbol for how Lexmark is hammering down the cost of printing which is of great advantage to you and I. However this is at no cost to performace, infact the evolution of printers is ongoing at a steady pace which makes this printer even more impressive. This steady advance in printer speed, size, and weight makes it perfect for companies who need to keep up with the latest hardware and software changes which are constantly developing.
This printer, equipped with advanced software tools that automate and centralize the set-up and updating of your networked printers. This includes 'Marksvision Professional...

Advantages: Small size, cheap Disadvantages: Not the best printing quality, ink cartridge runs out too quickly.
...I bought this printer as a replacement for my fairly old HP 960. I have never owned a Lexmark printer before but decided to try it this time. Not a wise decision as it turned out.
I chose the Z515 for two reasons. Its small size and its low price. However it seems that the “You only get what you pay for” saying is 100% true in this case…
The package includes only a color ink cartridge so if you want to print normal documents or emails you need to purchase a black one which adds an extra £15 to the price of the printer (aprox £30)
The installation is very easy with the enclosed CDROM which installs the drivers and a number of maintenance applications.
The printing quality is not great, certainly well below the quality if my old HP printer but for standard home use its probably OK. Surprisingly enough the quality is better...

Advantages: RESOLUTION, speed, ease of use, price Disadvantages: no
...The Lexmark Z31 comes from the Z-series line of lexmark inkjet printers. There is also a Z11 and a Z51.
The feature that attracted me to the Z31 was the high resolution. When printing in best mode the resolution is 1200x1200. It is a rather fast printer also. It can spit out up to 8 pages per minute in black ink and 3.5 pages per minute in color. The Hewlett Packard 880C which can print 9 pages per minute black and white and 6.5 pages in color has a resolution of only 600 dots per inch in black. (The Lexmark Z51 can print 10 pages per minute in black and 5 in color)
Paper feeding is easy. It has a better paper tray than the Lexmark 1100 which many people are familiar with. Although, it is different than the Hewlett Packard printers in that the tray is upright behind the printer. Although the tray only holds 25 pages of paper at a time...
