Advantages: Fast effficient print quality Disadvantages: Too many additional items, expensive toners
...those of you that have read my opinions on here know that our printer choice at work is limited to a few suppliers thanks to our software house. Yes, they only tend to write a few drivers for printers and those printers are normally cheap to buy buy expensive on consumables.
The same goes for our T642n printers in the office from Lexmark.
REASON FOR PURCHASE After years of running Lexmark T522s and T610s, we recently replaced our entire fleet with the T64X models. The X stands for either 0 in our T640 range or 2 in our T642n Range. Differences between the 2 are very insignificant to some but not to others. Its basically that the T642 has a 500 Sheet Paper drawer built in as opposed to the 250 Sheet drawer on the T640. Doen not sound much but it means you only have to restock the drawer half as often. We need a good supply of paper...

...The Lexmark Z 51 has excellent photo printing capabilities and is good value for money at a snip of £150. I have recently had the opportunity to use the Lexmark Z 51 and what a stunning printer it is indeed. Ink economy is slightly above average but replacement cartridges won't break the bank like some budget models do. I totally back the purchase of the Lexmark Z 51 inkjet printer and think that for the money it costs you will not be able to find a rival brand in the same performance class as this printer. I would strongly reccommend this model to any avid printer user....

Advantages: Good Quality Disadvantages: Upright paper feeding
...Having scouted around for a new printer I finally chose the Lexmark 5700. In part because of it 1200x1200 dpi printing, but also because IBM are behind Lexmark. I found it to be very reliable and excellent quaility, although large colour prints do take a while to print.
The support from Lexmark is very good, you can register on their web site to be notifed of driver upgrades, and all versions of Windows including Windows 2000 are supported.
If you are printing a large colour graphic then expect the performance of your PC to suffer while printing is underway, much the same as for any inkjet....
