The Lexmark X1130 was remarkably designed to do three things…print, copy and scan. Quite cheap too at only £59.99 (the price we paid) from most places or actually the new knocked down price of £54.99 from Argos. But why bother with a 3 in 1? Surely it won’t be as good quality as a single printer, scanner and copier? Well maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, but what I can tell you is it is bloody good at its job!
It is a fairly stylish ... ...·Total ease of use with Lexmark All In One Centre and Lexmark Solution Centre. ·Integrated OCR software and Lexmark Photo Editor software for enhanced creativity. ·Compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, and Mac OS 9.x, X.
I think you’ll find it’s quite an impressive list for something so cheap! Another thing I forgot to mention is that the printer comes with some photo paper free. Photo paper can be quite expensive so it’s handy ...

Advantages: Nice printer with good results. Stops printing when you tell it to! Disadvantages: Recurring inability to take paper through, crumby software
We acquired this second-hand but almost new a few years ago from one of my dad's colleagues.
She said she couldn't get it to work and handed it over to us to see if we could do anything with it.
It seemed to work fine, even though later we discovered it had some sort of plastic clip in it which had been dropped in! We kept the printer when we were told by the original owner that a replacement had been sought and bought.
So, how good is it?
It's ... ...to take the paper through, resulting in numerous pressings of the paper feed button. It isn't just mine that does this - I used one on a number of occasions at work, with much the same result.
The one thing I do like about it is it's amazing ability to stop printing when you tell it to! Sounds strange I know, but this is the best printer for doing this that I've owned. You click on 'cancel printing' and voila! It stops mid-page if necessary.
Having ...

Advantages: Speedy, Reliable and not as costly as most Disadvantages: The print cartridges are slightly more expensive
...upgrade from the far inferior Lexmark Z11 printer and a Mustek scanner, which were bought purely because they were cheap at the time. I have used various makes and models of printer, both Inkjet and laser (it would be unfair for me to compare the X1130 to a laser, so I'll just be sticking to the Inkjet comparison.) in the course of both home and work computer use.
My X1130 was bought a couple of weeks ago from Argos for the princely sum of £59.99 ... ...more a problem with Argos than the equipment), and it immediately took the place of my old grubby Z11 atop my computer desk, a sleek black and silver printer replacing the old white monstrosity. Getting the system set up was a breeze, even the quick start sheet was unusually simple to follow, and the drivers/control panel are also easy enough to install. The full set up from connecting the cables to printing the print alignment sheet took only approximately ...

Advantages: 3 Devices in one small package. cool and rapid response Disadvantages: My Lexmark X1130 came with No USB Cable.
The Lexmark X1130 is an all-in-one printer.
It features a Scanner, Copier and photo printer.
I bought mine from Argos for £59.99
If you buy one of these from Argos make sure you check that it comes with a USB cable as mine did not.
Altogether you get three packs of Photo Paper with it as a promotion just now.
First of all:
Scanner - This feature is built in to the top of the scanner with an opening door, similar to a flatbed Scanner.
The scanning ... ...time as well.
Whereas the Lexmark X1130 is constantly warm so that it is pretty much instantly scanning when you put in your document.
An A4 page being scanned at 300 (px) dpi is completed in less than 10 seconds.
I see this scanning feature as a very rapid piece of kit.
Printer - The printer is of top quality and probably the best one i have used yet.
Not a lot more you can say about printing really.
To do an A4 Photo print with all maximum ...

Advantages: Good print quality, easy interface Disadvantages: Ink is expensive and doesn't last very long
The Lexmark x1130 is probably going to be with me forever it seems, I've had it right since it came out and it hasn't failed me yet! The lexmark x1130 still, to this day, holds its own as a budget all-in-one printer application, inspite of the far more modern options available. I originally bought the Lexmark x1130 because at the time it was one of the few network-capable printers on the market (note there's no ethernet port, so you'd have to use ... ...at the time.
The Lexmark print quality (again remembering its age/price) is certainly above average on standard black & white text pages and around the norm for colour pages.
Scan quality isn't fantastic, but again one must remember it's relatively low price.
The interaface is very easy to use, with just four standard buttons on the panel (power, paper feed, copy b&w, copy colour and scan). One downside however is that your computer must be stiwtched ...
