here you can adjust almost anything to do with your photo, remove red eye adjust the photo itself and adjust the size.
Once you are happy you can save your image or document in the left hand corner of your screen, it really is very simple.

The installation of this printer to the computer is very quick and simple. Insert the CD that comes with the product and very simply follow the instructions that come up on the screen, after installation is complete restart your computer, eject the CD was computer has restarted and of you go.
The printer is very neat and compact, it has four buttons down the left hand side, one is the on/off bottom, which lights up green when you turn it on, this also cancels a job you are doing if required and resets the printer.
The top button has a picture of 2 pieces of paper with an arrow in the middle, this is to make a colour copy. The next button down has a picture of 2 (4x6in 10x15cm) in boxes again with an arrow in the middle this is for making a borderless colour copy of a photo.
The final button which has a picture of a scanner then an arrow pointing to a monitor, pressing this button opens the All in one center where you can preview scanned images on your computer, you can also intiate scan-back alignment if the button is held down for 3 seconds.
Once you start using the printer you will be asked to print off a sheet which will have blues lines on it, once this is printed you will be asked to place the piece if paper in the scanner and it will be scanned, this is were you can adjust the setup.
Coping Photos:- Place your photo face down onto the scanner, then load your paper into the slot at the back, then pressing the button with the numbers on you will then have a perfect copy and i think they come out very well.
Scanning:- To use this function it must be connected to your computer. Place your document face down onto the scanner, load your paper and press the button with the scanner picture on it you will then have the All in one Center page appear on your screen. You can then move your mouse over to the picture or document and place it on the corner of the flashing dotted line which will be around the image the line will be bigger then the image, so just adjust it so it fits exactly around the image you have just scanned. Then press scan or copy whatever is desired this only takes a few seconds, once it has been scanned if it is a photo then the Lexmark photo editor will appear in a new screen, here you can adjust almost anything to do with your photo, remove red eye adjust the photo itself and adjust the size. Once you are happy you can save your image or document in the left hand corner of your screen, it really is very simple.

Printing:- Load paper in and with what ever document you have click file in the left hand corner then click print. You can also click the properties tab for different options and set up.
To chance the cartridge again is very straight forward. Lift the the top part of the printer and it has a small latch which you can put in place so it dose not fall down,press the blue leaver and this will release the cartridge, remove the strip of paper from the cartridge and then insert it into the slot and thats it done.
You can get the cartridges which are Exclusively at Currys, Dixons and PC World and cost £14.99 only one cartridge is required this this excellent value for money.
The printer itself cost me £39.99 from PC World again excellent value for money.
I am very pleased with my new printer and gives me great quality photos and copys.
Advantages: Its a 3 in 1 so ideal for home or small office usage. Disadvantages: Doesn't have as many "bells and whistles" as expensive printers.
I bought two Lexmark X2480s about two years ago, one for me and one for my Dad. We have both been using them since then and they work just as well now as the day we bought them. The printer is what's known as a three in one meaning that it prints, scans and copies. The copy feature is particularly good because you can do copies just by switching the Lexmark on but without having to switch your computer on as well. To do a copy you just place the ... ...on the front of the Lexmark meaning that you can print pictures direct from your digital camera which is a nice feature to have available. I have found the printing quality and speed for all 3 in 1 purposes to be fast and efficient and have had very, very few paper jams. Maybe 2 0r 3 in two whole years. It takes just one No. 2 Lexmark print cartridge that handles both colour and black and white. The cartridges cost about £13 each from the High Street ...

I bought this printer second-hand about a year ago, and I must admit it's been a lifesaver. It's main function was to print out my coursework for university, including two 10,000 word essays. I thought this might put a strain on it, but it managed it effortlessly.
I've never really had any problems with and considering it's approx. 3 years old now I consider it a bargain. It was quite easy to set-up. the set up CD didn't take long and it was ready ... ...feature and I found the printer/scanner to be of quite good quality.
Overall, I'd consider it a great buy, especially for those looking for something simple on a budget. The only thing I found problematic was the printer ink cartridges (Lexmark no.2 ink); they're hard to get a hold of and a little dear, but once you have one then you're pretty much set-up. ...

I use lexmark cartridge No 2 for my printer, they are readily available in PC World £14.99 and other shops stock them too Such as Tesco, Argos, etc.
They come in a vibrant red box and has a large No 2 inside a rainbow ringed circle, with the Models it is suitable fo ( X2480 & X3480) clearly marked on the front of the box.
Lexmark states on the box that they are the Original replacement cartridge with a new intergrated Print head to give you sharp Crystal clear results over time.
They are very simple to fit into the printer just lift up the fixing cover and slot in to place and snap shut the holding lid, slide back in place in the printer. (dont forget to remove the sticky seal 1st).
The ink lasts for approx 120 print outs, you get more than this if printing mainly black and white, or slightly less if printing a lot ...
