To my surprise I found this little printer in Tesco, and paid just £34.97 for it! I had to have it.

This printer is quick and easy to install, and it is very light and compact for a printer, it would fit almost anywhere! I am using it with Windows XP on my PC, and the printing process is very user-friendly, it takes you through step by step as to how you'd like to print, size of image, print quality etc.
The quality of the print-outs in both black and white or colour, are of really good quality. Another great aspect of the printing is also that you can specify the printer to print out on envelopes, make banners, and business cards!
Unfortunately with this printer you do not get a USB cable supplied in the box, but have no fear Tesco is here! I purchased a USB cable (A to B) at Tesco, for £3.96, bargain!
It looks like the cartridges used in this printer are fairly cheap too! (around £10-£15 black and white, and around £15-£20 colour). The cartridges are real easy to put into the printer too.
Overall and so far, this printer has been reliable, quick and easy to use, and produces good quality prints! There is also a helpful page slider that helps you place different size paper correctly into your printer. The printer will also let you know that it is printing and when it's finished with a voice that say's "printing started", and "printing finished", (could get a bit annoying eventually).
It seems to be easy enough to troubleshoot problems aswell. And the great part is you don't have to turn the printer on and off manually, it does it all for you when you send something tp print, or close downm your printer!
Compared to my previous Epson printer, this one is a lot quicker at printing and seems to be able to cope better with lots of prints. It works well with thicker paper too!

I bought this printer and it offers good colour quality. As ink ject printer, it is slow but it id good quality and you can print leaflets, flyers as we. The picture quality isn't perfect but it is alright for personal use at home. I found the printing speed average on pictures and document. The colour on output is good as long as your settings are good which you do at the start up. It is easy to use and you connect it by USB and the installation ... ...printed documents and I have faced no problems - a year so far - but with pictures, it is slower and the quality isn't that good so really it is dependent on what function do you want your printer th perform - fast and good quality output or cheaper and slower alternative. ...

...know i say that alot in my reviews but i only say it if i mean it) has a few quid to spare, and i will be buying more products from lexmark. lexmark cartridges a quite cheap (less than a tenner) and the 3rd party ones are even cheaper ...

The Lexmark International Z 617 Colour Inkjet is a decent printer for the starter, or the infrequent PC print user.
It is extremely basic, simple to use, and most importantly, cheap.
The print quality is average, and the cartridges are reasonably priced (a twin pack costs around £25 and will give several hundred prints on normal print quality).
The printer connects by USB 2.0 and is easy to install using the CD supplied. The software updates can ... ...and just go to Lexmark's website if in need of further info, as the software updates really slow you PC down by using up unneccessary memory.
All in all, this printer is fairly good for the infrequent user, but would be found severely lacking by anyone wanting to take it to the next level - but, for under £50 what do you want? ...
