I bought this from ASDA for £19.96, so it beats the prices I've seen everywhere else. I wanted something cheap and small to fit my desktop, and would be decent enough to produce black and white leaflets good enough for photocopying.
So far it is good enough.
The setup was worrying, only one printer cartridge, but that was ok, you can load just one or two, I have not come across that before.
The noise is acceptably low and the speed is sufficient for, I'd say, most home printing jobs. The footprint is small enough for most home offices and actual print quality is fine for most jobs, though not for legal letters I'd say.
I had to let XP install the drivers as the CD setup programme didn't want to work, so this might worry absolute beginners, as the picture-based large print install guide tells you not to use the XP new hardware wizard. But it was quick to setup regardless, less than five minutesout of the box. Better than my last, HP, printer!
Overall a pretty good, basic printer for the home. NOT recommedned for an office however.
