Lexmark is a global developer, manufacturer and supplier of printing solutions, including laser, inkjet, and dot matrix printers and associated consumable supplies and various accessories for the office and home markets. Lexmark offers this adapter for printer's hard disk for selected Optra models.

You also have options to set paper type such as Photo Paper, Transparencies, Card etc. Lexmark’s, own control panel also offer excellent features. From here you have access to current ink levels, printer status, Dos functions and how the printer operates. You can also clean the print heads from here too.
Another excellent feature - which can be turned off if it annoys you - is the speech facility, whereby the control program tells you when a print job is starting, ending or when the paper has jammed or paper tray is empty. I find this a useful function.
Connection to you computer is a simple process allowing you to connect by either USB or Parallel cables. Both work well and the installation of the necessary software...

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use and reliable. Disadvantages: Ink cartridges can be costly at times; USB cable has to be purchased seperately (usually)
...and the print quality is very good.
The printer comes with the drivers and software that helps you to manage your printer and print settings. What I like about this is that, no matter which software application you use to print, you always have control over your printer and its settings.
The software also allows you to view how much ink you have left in your cartridge, helps you to clean and maintain your printer, helps you to install new or used ink cartridges and there’s a useful link to the Lexmark website where you can get technical support, advice and other information. You can even download drivers from the website, if required.
I am also quite pleased with the quality of printing with regards to photographs. The images are clear, continuous and there are no tell-tale signs that it’s not a real photo.

Advantages: Excellent quality printing Disadvantages: Cartridges a bit pricy unless you shop around.
...After plodding along for 4 1/2 years with a old olivetti JP 170s I treated myself to a Lexmark Z32 ink jet printer. It was like trading in a banger for a Rolls Royce.
The Lexmark Z32 was easy to install via manufactures cd rom and run very quietly indeed. It cost me £119 via mail order.
It will print 8 pages of text per minute at 600dpi and although colour takes a bit longer the quality is excellent.
I print off alot of pictures from the net for my wife and when using glossy paper at 1200dpi the finished product is equal to the real thing. So good we have framed several.
The paper storage will hold up to 100 sheets depending on thickness.
The instruction manual was set out very simply with all of the instructions very easy to follow.
The cartridges are a bit pricy at around £25 BUT after searching the net I found compatable...
