Lexus GS 300 interior fitting and fixing!
Advantages: A very different car to be seen in, great fun to drive on country roads, full of character!! Disadvantages: Expensive to fuel, noisy engine at times,
...have decided to sell my Lexus GS 300 (mainly because my other half keeps banging on about the cost of running it!) In order to help sell, and because the car was broken into and vandalised (literally slashed most of the seats) I went about searching for an all leather interior upgrade, as mine was an odd two tone black and red cloth. After much searching online and on ebay I found a breakers yard in Enfield, London called 0800 SPARES I think, absolutely ... ...Leicester, but it was worth it! The interior is immaculate and I will be fitting it asap, cant wait! I was like a kid in a candy shop- "oooh and i'll have that radiator, and that trim pack, and those carpet mats, and that mirror glass " you get the picture. They have loads of old and new stripped out cars all racked in parts, like every man secretly wants his garage to be like! I know that once the interior is in, and the new radiator and other bits ...

Lexus 470 incarnate of Toyota Land Cruiser
Advantages: Sophisticate and more modern feature Disadvantages: Price
...other region in the world, Lexus 470 was released as brand of Toyota "Land Cruiser Cygnus". Switching from 6-cylinder power to a new 4.7-liter V8, also destined for Toyota's T100 pickup, the SUV was transformed from the LX 450 to the new LX 470. As before, it served as an upscale edition of Toyota's Land Cruiser. Styling was new, and the V8 engine was a "first." Each LX 470 had an independent front suspension and permanently engaged 4-wheel drive. ... ...also was exclusive to the Lexus edition, allowing the driver to set ride clearance to high, normal, or low level. That system switched to normal if vehicle speed exceeded 20 mph in high mode. Standard equipment included exterior running boards, leather-and-wood interior trim, rear air conditioning, and an in-dash CD changer. Rivals included the Acura SLX, GMC Yukon/Denali, Land Rover Range Rover, and Lincoln Navigator.

A hidden gem of a car, Lexus ES300
Advantages: It'll go on forever Disadvantages: hard to get spares, not UK car
...is to do with the Lexus ES300, or Toyota Windom as its known in Japan. The closest thing we have here is the Toyota Camry
This car isn't a UK car and all of them are imports. In America it is the most popular selling model saloon they have - which is saying much!
Of course Lexus is the upmarket badge of Toyota and that in its self is a plus, it shares the chasis with the Camry so some parts are easy to get hold of, others like headlight units or ... ...got a J-reg ES300 with a 3.0L V6 engine, on the books here its worth less than 1500pounds because it is a grey import.
The car provides such luxuries than in 1992 it must have seemed like an Aston Martin, the electric seats, CD changer, Climate control, huge space, airbags (on a 92!!) and an incredibly powerful 3.0L engine.
Mines got a speed limiter on it but if i took it off it could go up to 130+MPH, which for a heavy 4 door saloon is incredible.

Lexus LX470
Advantages: None Disadvantages: None
...details of the Amazon.
Lexus is the upmarket marque of Toyota for those who didn't already know and many of their cars share the same parts - my old IS 200 for example had numerous Toyota branded bits when you opened up the bonnet. The old IS used to sell in Japan under the name of a Toyota Altezza so different names for different cars depending upon what country you're in is common for them.
Last time I checked with my dealer, Lexus had no plans ...

A Pure Dream...
Advantages: Spacious Disadvantages: Sluggish, Fuel Economy, New models pricey!
I have owned a 1998 Lexus GS300 SE MK II (New Model). I purchased this approx a year ago after trading in my old Mk1 Lexus GS300.
The only thing I have had to replace so far, are the tyres due to natural wear/tear.
The ride is smooth/comfortable, and as with all Lexus you have a that feeling you are in a safe / prestige car. This car also turns heads (No not the average boy racer, but the average joe bloggs in the street!).
I am always getting ... ...private plate on, it looks almost brand new (even after coming upto 5 years old).
The only quarm I have is that the MPG for local trips could be better. On a run, it averages 28-30mpg. Round the doors, nearer 19-20.
I would definately recommend a GS300 MK2 to anyone considering it. The NAVIAGATION version is a very good option but expensive if bought as a new factory option. ...
