Lexus GS 300 interior fitting and fixing!

Advantages: A very different car to be seen in, great fun to drive on country roads, full of character!!
Disadvantages: Expensive to fuel, noisy engine at times,

So the verdict is in, I have decided to sell my Lexus GS 300 (mainly because my other half keeps banging on about the cost of running it!) In order to help sell, and because the car was broken into and vandalised (literally slashed most of the seats) I went about searching for an all leather interior upgrade, as mine was an odd two tone black and red cloth. After much searching online and on ebay I found a breakers yard in Enfield, London called 0800 SPARES I think, absolutely brilliant! It was an hours drive down to them form Leicester, but it was worth it! The interior is immaculate and I will be fitting it asap, cant wait! I was like a kid in a candy shop- "oooh and i'll have that radiator, and that trim pack, and those carpet mats, and that mirror glass " you get the picture. They have loads of old and new stripped out cars all ...

Lexus RX300

Advantages: It'll never break down
Disadvantages: Heavy on the petrol!

The RX300 has recently been replaced by the RX350 (same car with a new 3.5L engine, a better stereo, Sat Nav & a couple of other minor changes). I bougth my RX last July & can honestly say that it's best car that I've ever had despite it only doing 20 mpg. We looked at other large (German) 4x4s before we decided to buy & they paled into insignificance when compared £ for £ with the Lexus. You can find many sites on the internet that will tell you how good Lexi (is that the plural?) are but a couple of tips from me - * If you buy one, get the Sat Nav option as it is abosulte perfection despite it being on the pricey side - it'll also apparently keep the resale value of your car up. * I don't tow myself but have heard stories about the intelligent gearbox that's in the RX not being so smooth when a caravan or horsebox is ...

Toyota Camry 3.0 V6 1998

Advantages: Fast Motorway Car
Disadvantages: Forget it about town-buy a Corsa

I brought a 1998 Camry V6 3.0 back in early September 2007. 2 previous owners and 183,000 on the clock (nothing for this car), driven daily from Telford to Birmingham. Having owned the car for 4 months and putting another 10,000 motorway miles on the clock I have to say that generally it is an excellent car. First the bad points. With petrol currently between 99.9 and 106.9 a litre in the UK you need to bear this in mind. In fuel alone this car costs 16 pence a mile, even more about town. Add to that the cost of servicing at the recommended 9,000 miles in addition to replacement consumables (I put 2 new front tyres on in November) and you soon realise that this is not a Ford Fiesta. These considerations are for the most part forgotten the moment you get behind the wheel. This is a car of modest features yet it has a quality ...
