The Lexus IS200 Sport. I smile just thinking about it. The car is a delight to drive!
It glides over the roads as if it were on a cushion of air, and motorway driving is a dream.
From the outside, the car has distinctive looks (especially with the optional body kit I saw one - wow did it look agressive!) and is certainly not to be confused with a BMW, which seem to have swamped the market nowadays.
The build quality is impeccable leaving nothing to be desired. Everything inside feels as though it was built to last and the doors shut with a satisfying thud. The quality is even apparent in the carefully weighted and effortlessly movable boot lid.
The engine is pleasant as well, sounding good throughout the full rev range. Unfortunatly, that's what it's best at. It has a certain pull to it, but less than would be expected from a 2ltr straight six. The Sport tag only refers to the trim, it has the same engine as all the others.
But, that being said, when you're driving the car you don't really feel the need to try and burn off the other cars. Ok, the guy to your right's in a Golf GTi... but he's ONLY in a Golf GTi - you're driving a Lexus...
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Your opinion implies a certain badge snobbishness. Turn it around the other way, and the guy in the golf, can say "my 1 grand car outperforms his 20+ grand car, what a waste of money" What is it like through the twisties, does it redeem the poor performance in that respect ?

I'm with the others. Tell us a bit more and we'll like the review more.

This is a fairly good op, but with more info on Handling, features and etc, this could be excellent and ratings would improve straight away! Let me know if you add on to this and I'll happily re-rate it! Chunka!
Advantages: Lexus is good looking, jam packed with extras as standard, quite exclusive Disadvantages: Not as fast as a BMW323, doesn't have quite the Snob Factor
