We have a Lexus at home one of the very early models, a Soarer, so I felt quite familiar with some of the features the LS430 has and very confident that the car we were using was going to deliver a full and satisfying drive. Being a women I am not all that clever about motor vehicles, but I do know class and comfort - the Lexus offers Class, Comfort and that little bit more. We have a Lexus at home one of the very early models, a Soarer, so I felt quite familiar with some of the features the LS430 has and very confident that the car we were using was going to deliver a full and satisfying drive. I was not proved wrong in anyway, infact I have been completely impressed by this car. I really cannot fault it and would consider buying one (if I could ever afford it) when the Soarer comes to an end
I was not the driver (dare I drive in the states - not for me) but as a willing passenger I can say the ride was fantastic. Smooth and almost senseless, no external sounds, no bumps. The LS430 lends itself to the straight roads of America and due to the silence and even ride, it was easy to mis-judge the speed we were traveling at. According to Lexus the reason for this is the generous use of quality soundproofing materials, flat underbody panels, creating a low aerodynamic drag coefficient and an exquisitely refined engine, contributing to the sense of tranquility experienced inside the LS 430. I agree
The GPS navigation system was easy to use, or so my driver explained, but it went a bit over my head. The air conditioning came into its own as temperatures outside soared to 100 deg C. There was loads of leg room and I'm quite tall at 5' 8" and the seats totally fitted my posture with easy manipulation.
As a passenger this car is awesome, the only time I felt uncomfortable was giving it back. I so wanted to keep it - forever.

...ever heared great things about Lexus and the LS430 that may be about to change, ever so slightly
I have just paid my local Lexus franchise the ridiculous sum of £650 ( approx USD $1,000) to have my oh so unreliable brakes fixed, so although I have been overjoyed with the car as a whole I'm writing this review at my most vulnerable moment ever as a Lexus owner, in fact, the last time I felt this way about a lexus, my old IS200 ( brakes issues again ... ...2, having had a Lexus IS200 previously I knew that the car would be very very well built, utterly reliable and would outlast any European car in its class

Advantages: Stays clean forever, otptinal sports mode, loads of leg room Disadvantages: gadgets seem to have a ridiculous amount of problems, over priced
The LS430 has basically taken the shell of the old 400 series and given it one hell of a makeover. The new 430 is sleaker and, longer and has a unbelievable amount of gadgets inside. It features a locking system where as you do not have to even take your key out of your pocket to open the car or even start the ignition. Once the car is started there is very freindly and easy to use GPS system that can be voice operated, as well as voice operated ... ...to the boot of the car, to assist you in reversing, whcih is also aided my the lexux park assist whcih beeps if you are too close to a object. the saftey precautions on the car include, side windows air bags, a warning signal in the event that you have a puncture, and central locking. Advantages: The LS has everything and more as Standard, is a reliable, smooth and quiet car Disadvantages: Second hand value could be better
I have driven Professionaly since 1966. I have driven, on a regular basis nearly every top range luxury car you can buy.
In my estimation as a Pro, none of them come up overall to the LS 430.
The interior, as well as the exterior, is superb, you want for nothing. Road handling is excellent, plenty of power, and every thing is at your fingertips. And it runs so,so quiet. Phone connection is Bluetooth, no wires or cradles to clutter the place. The ... ...and I'm in the Music business, so I've heard a few!

I think you may well keep the LS much longer than you would any other make. ...

Advantages: Class. Just sheer class. Disadvantages: Nothing
When I write a car review, I generally try to give as balanced an opinion as possible in regard to a cars? relative merits or failings.
The problem I faced when sitting down to write this review of the new model LexusLS430, from Japanese manufacturers Toyota, was to find ANYTHING bad, or even slightly negative, to say about it.
I have a friend in the limousine business, which explains how I found myself invited along for the morning as he put one of these beauties through its paces on an extended test drive.
To be driven in a car of this refinement and luxury is a rare experience, to be savoured and relived for months afterwards.
This car is an upgraded version of the ?old? LexusLS400.
The first thing that strikes you about the Lexus is the noise. Or rather, the absolute lack of it! Passengers and driver quite literally glide ...

interior.
From the soft, supple Nappa leather to the grand, mahogany detailing, it really does give a sense of occasion which makes simply sitting in the car a wall of pleasure.
The ride, is firmer than that of the BMW or Mercedes, and definitely firmer than the LexusLS430. But that directly translates into the best driving experience of the four, barring maybe the Mercedes, which in its own way does indeed macth the Audi, in feel to the steering if not in sharp dynamics.
The driveability is helped immensely by the Aluminium construction of the Audi, and is helped further by the fantastic V8 lurking under the bonnet.
Possesing no less than 310 horses, it has the power to thrust this huge vehicle to 60 mph in just 6 seconds, and will send it hurtling to an electronically limited maximum speed of 155 mph.
It has monumental urge in ...

Advantages: A lot of car for the money. Beautiful smooth drive. Roomy. Power to spare Disadvantages: Very heavy on petrol.
system has six outlets; one in each door, and a couple of bass speakers inset underneath the rear seat, which produce incredibly good quality and clarity of sound.
~ ~ If all these goodies aren't enough to what your appetite, then we haven't even got to the good part yet! What's the car like to drive?
Well, put simply, the drive and ride quality are second to none, with the possible exception of the superb LexusLS430 which I had the privilege of driving a couple of years back, and which would still be my dream car. (If money were no object!)
The general consensus of opinion within motoring circles is that the 3.2-litre (and larger 4.0-litre) Jaguar engine they used during the late 1980's and early 1990's are the best they ever produced, and are practically "bulletproof". In other words, they simply don't go wrong that often ...
