The car being reviewed is the 2010 Lexus RX. The new RX Lexus is here ! Its all new and all fabulous. The engine is the RX 350, it?s gotta V6 275 horsepower engine, it comes with a 6 speed sequentially shift automatic transmission. This car also comes with a RX 450 hybrid engine version that has 295 horsepower..it has 3 electric engines.. 1 engine for the transmission and the starter, 1 engine to drive the front wheels and another engine for the rear wheel drive and regenerative braking. Now this vehicle all new from the ground up and has some great new technologies, it has some things which ... more

Advantages Advantages The comfort and engine, very modern looking inside and out

Disadvantages Disadvantages rolls a tad round bends, but its a big car

Having just bought my first Lexus and being a RX300 SE-L, i have to say the car is fantastic. We were on the look out for a larger car as we are expecting a baby, i never wanted a large 4x4 until i saw this car. we looked at the usual X5 and merc but all failed to meet the spec delivered by the RX, it has everything you need and more. it probably wont be the best off road but who actually takes their X5 off road unless being chased by the police (well most are owned by drug dealers). the ride is fantastic and the comfort level amazing. i traded in a porsche which was like a go-kart after ... more

    5 Stars Why a Lexus? 25/07/2003
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Not a BMW, Volvo or Merc

Disadvantages Disadvantages None if you value invisibility

Therefore handling is not so important. What is important is safety, stopping ability, security both of the car and its occupants. ea world acceleration 30-70 is good, not blistering; but who cares it's a SUV not a sports car. 15000 miles later in 9 months. No breakdowns, no repairs, no faults. No oil used at all. 1st service at 10,000 mile £139.00 inc VAT. All in all a fabulous car and great residuals when we come to sell. It ... more

    5 Stars Lexus RX300 15/09/2006
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages It'll never break down

Disadvantages Disadvantages Heavy on the petrol!

The RX300 has recently been replaced by the RX350 (same car with a new 3.5L engine, a better stereo, Sat Nav & a couple of other minor changes). I bougth my RX last July & can honestly say that it's best car that I've ever had despite it only doing 20 mpg. We looked at other large (German) 4x4s before we decided to buy & they paled into insignificance when compared £ for £ with the Lexus. You can find many sites on the internet that will tell you how good Lexi (is that the plural?) are but a couple of tips from me - * If you buy one, get the Sat Nav option as it is abosulte perfection despite ... more
