The car being reviewed is the 2010 Lexus RX.

The new RX Lexus is here ! Its all new and all fabulous. The engine is the RX 350, it?s gotta V6 275 horsepower engine, it comes with a 6 speed sequentially shift automatic transmission. This car also comes with a RX 450 hybrid engine version that has 295 horsepower..it has 3 electric engines.. 1 engine for the transmission and the starter, 1 engine to drive the front wheels and another engine for the rear wheel drive and regenerative braking.

Now this vehicle all new from the ground up and has some great new technologies, it has some things which are different from any other vehicle I have seen in the past. For example like the "damping" underneath to reduce road noise...I could also see a significant amount of damping on the top front of the engine, because in fact you can't really see the engine. Also inside the wheel wells there is felt lining...that also reduces some of the road noise. All with the goal to reduce as much noise as possible..so the cabin noise can be kept to a minimum level.

The all new RX has a couple new features with the headlights...1)is an option with auto dimming headlights ie..when another vehicle is approaching from the opposite direction, the lights will automatically dim. This car also has articulating headlights which were also on the previous generation. But what Lexus have done with this generation..is that the headlights will turn as you turn round the corner..what they'll do is anticipate where your gunna be a few seconds down the road. So depending on your speed and the turn angle of the steering wheel..you can see enough of the road of where your turning into.

At the tail end some ?shenan-aggins? are a foot with windshield wipers and vehicle antenna...The winshield wiper used to be down below..but Lexus have moved it so its hidden in the spoiler so you don't even see the windshield wiper unless its activated. They've also taken the AM / FM antenna and put them in the spoiler as well so they are hidden from viewing and you never see them. Another feature that's on the back of the RX is the rear backup camera, which will show on the navigation system. But if you don't have a navigation system will show up on the rear view mirror. The LED tail lights come on a fraction of a second sooner than the regular tail lights which is a little bit of a safety feature, but the LED tail lights also use less energy.

Moving to the inside the navigation system has some interesting changes. They've moved it from the centre console back onto the dash so its better in the line of sight for the driver to see the road and the navigation screen at the same time. But indoing so that Lexus have moved the controls for the navigation down to the "remote" touch device which is similar to a computer mouse, which enables the driver to keep their hands in a very natural position drive the car and to operate the navigation system at the same time. There's a saying bigger is better..its not always true, but in the RX case the cabin space, where the passengers are sitting, but also more rear cargo space, due to the double wishbone suspension at the back.

The RX also comes with front side cameras...but also has some many different ways to change the features of the vehicle,..it even has voice recognition...something like outta Knight Rider...for example you can talk in your natural language to raise the temperature or navigate to find your favourite restaurant...that has definitely got to be the why to buy this car.
