I was sold this case when I was at University and I loved it the moment I saw it. Here is why:

LOOKS

It looks good. It really does. It is made of high grade brushed aluminium that not only makes it look gracious like the new jewel of the RAF the Eurofigher but probably as much engineering has gone to it.
Because of the use of aluminium rather than steel (take note other case manufacturers) it dissipates the heat faster. To cut it short the case is also a giant heat sink.

On top of the case there is a strip of carbon fibre. This sort of makes a change from all the metal and adds detail to the case.

The case in the front boasts 4 slots for 5 1/2" drives and 3 slots for 3 1/2 inch drives. The best bit is that Lian Li provides bezels (actually retractable flaps) for the optical drives and a Floppy Drive made in the same aluminium (with the matching brushed pattern) and .multi format card reader (see pic below).

There two buttons, a power on/off button that feels sturdy, is a good size and the engraving is of top quality. Sounds like a little detail but I just want to emphasize that there is quality galore. No corners have been cut.
The second button the smaller and you can only push it with a pencil or something smaller that my gorilla pinkie finger. I wish it was slightly bigger but you can't have everything I guess.

There are two LEDs (a power on and a HDD access light). They are extra bright LEDs and they are quite dear. They look good though. In the dark you can see the beam of blue light from the power on LED. The HDD is red on the other end.

There is also a mesh just below the lights (see Pic) and just behind sit two fans to cool the HDD (or HDDs). It gives it that industrial look and if you put two LED fans at the back it makes it look like nuclear power station. The speed of the fans is controlled by a little three way speed selector switch and if LED fans are implemented (the original ones are just plain) the switch also controls the brightness.

Just underneath hidden under an aluminium flap there are two USB ports. It is a really great two have them there. Nowadays every case has them but when this case was made 5-6 years ago it was a rarity.
FUNCTIONALITY

Well looks are good but this case has yet to reveal its functionality. First of all the overclockers heaven.

Cooling:

As standard this case boasts 4 fans. Two at the front that cool those HDDs. One at the top to exhaust the residue heat from the PSU and Optical drives. One at the rear to aid the CPU heat sink as it is positioned right at 90 degrees above the heat sink for the CPU.

The front of the case is handy though as it the aluminium cover can be removed and it shows the barebones on the system.

The 3 1/2 " devices are hold onto one block that is fixed with thumbscrews on. It is easy removed and after 5 seconds your got your device in your hands. Perfect.

Behind the mesh there is another mesh (bigger air intakes) and after that is removed a dust filter (very handy as it stops the gunk getting onto your PC). This is either washable but I recommend just give it a good beating and off with the dust.

On the back there are only (almost) thumbscrews. They all make sense though. Once removed the thumbscrews and the side panel slides off.

Inside everything has been well placed. Right in front of you there is a cage that will hold up to 5 HDD but that would be taking it a bit too far. The cage is removable so you can easily fit the HDDs and then back to the case. No more screws in awkward screwing.

Fixing the optical drive is also easy by just slotting in them from the front but you have to remove both side panels to do the screwing on the other side.

Putting the Motherboard in is also kids play. Remove the thumbscrews in the back and a couple of screws in the central tray and away you go. The MoBo tray slides out of the case ready for you to do your magic. This is great.

The same goes with the PSU. It sits on a tray that (you guessed) it is removable by undoing the unscrews.

Some people might be picky and find a fault in the fact that is not supplied with a PSU but lets face the cheap cases that are supplied with one only present you a cheap (emphasis on that) PSU that most likely you will end up changing at some point so might as well choose a decent one to start up with.
Some might argue that it is dear (when it came out was £120) but lets face it, 6 years after this costs £80. How many products hold their value that well. Also you have to mind that other companies that do decent cases charge you that much and the value still drops.

OVERALL
I usually find faults with everything I use. I am the king of being picky (look at my other reviews) but this case I just can't find any. I have had the case for 4 years and still not bored of it. It has a gorgeous brushed aluminium look that leaves the others trail behind. I mean Coolermaster products look good as well but this is niche.
Everything is built with eye to detail and it doesn't feel like a Chinese company made it (no prejudice) but like some Swiss watchmaker hand built it using precision tools. Now that is a statement. This is a quality product and if you want a PC to look good, want a stable and cool system and space to put a space shuttle in (with spares) buy this case.
