Advantages Advantages fun for baby, fun for parents, change of scene

    Disadvantages Disadvantages scratched door frame

A door bouncer has to be undoubtedly one of the best baby-kit inventions ever. For those who don't know, it's a swing-like contraption that is mounted in the doorway on a spring and thus allows a correctly inserted child to bounce up and down as they touch the ground with their toes. There are different designs, I have used three so far and I think this one from Lindam is an excellent one: the fact that it has been sold in pretty much the same format for a good few years means it must be getting things right! This bouncer is intended for children from the age they can hold their head up firmly ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to get baby in and out on your own

@@@@@@@@@@@@@ LINDAMS DOOR BOUNCER @@@@@@@@@@@@@ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Abou t the boncer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a great bouncer, Kieran loves it. It is a bouncer, that hangs from the door, (hence the name) That your baby can sit in and bounce. The part where the baby sits in, reminds alot of a baby sling. The baby fits snuggly into it, and is straped in. It is a blue and yellow holder, that is nicely padded for the babies comfort. This is atached to yellow straps, that go over the sholder and attached it to the rest of the bouncer. They hook over a very sturdy blue, plastic bar. ( saying plastic, makes ... more

Advantages Advantages Great fun for babies, Easy to install

Disadvantages Disadvantages Why Can't I have One

I purchased the Lindam door bouncer for my daughter when she was 3 months old; this is the recommended age for this type of product, although it is only suitable if your baby is able to support their own head. My daughter could support her head well at this age, so I was happy to purchase the product. The bouncer is suitable for use until your child can walk, so generally anywhere between 10 to 18 months of age, or they have reached the maximum safe weight of 12kg. The bouncer comes in two parts, the bodice, which is constructed from lemon yellow cotton, with two blue nylon straps sewn onto it ... more

    Advantages Advantages baby enjoyed it

    Disadvantages Disadvantages fiddly!

We were given our door bouncer for our baby and I'm glad it was a present and we didn't spend £30 on it as I think it would have been a waste of money. The door bouncer is just that- it's a bouncer in the door! You basically fix it to the door and put your baby in it and your baby pushes off the ground to make it bounce. It's a good idea in principle but it's not all that great. It fixes to the door easily, once we had secured it to the door we then had to detangle it to ensure our baby could get in and then we struggled to get her into the harness. Her body was supported well in it, it was ... more

    Advantages Advantages fun for baby

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

This product is a great for putting baby in when you have a quick job to do, as it is recommended that baby is only in it for a maximum of 20 minutes. In my experience, this time scale is about right, as they start to get bored of it after about 15 mins. It is suitable for use only when baby's can support their own heads, from 3 months upwards. The door bouncer comes in two parts. You clamp a strong piece of rope from the top of the doorway, and to this you attach a strong plastic moulding. Then there is a saddle to strap your baby into. This is made of yellow cotton, which is padded, and you ... more
