the ciao homepage asks where you can find the best value. Well here is the answer. Aldi is a great place for finding cheap food if you are not too choosy about what enters your body.
Personally I hate the place.
Cheap has two meaning in my book:good value or tacky and nasty. Aldi has to be the latter sadly. Don't expect brand names you will recognise or decent food, just the afformentioned cheap stuff - in both senses of the word. Another problem is that there is hardly any choice here at all. I visited Aldi twice ad will never use it again and on both occasions ended up going to Tesco anyway to complete my shopping as I was unable to find half the things I wanted there. There simply is not a large enough choice of products to make it of any use to anyone.
My advice is that if you want to cut down on your shopping bill, then use shop's own brands rather than touching somewhere like Aldi. Yes there will still be a dip in quality if you do this but not quite this low and the selection is better.
