New is not always better.

Advantages: Gives advice necessary for beginners without the expense of more 'heavy weight' reference books.
Disadvantages: Tried and trusted style of layout. Can make it all sound too easy.

Great addition to your collection.

Advantages: Easy to understand and great pictures for the novice gardener
Disadvantages: none
