The Lighter Life Programme is a weight management programme for those who have over three stone to lose or a body mass index over 29.It is a medically monitored programme which involves cutting out food totally in order to achieve weight loss!!!
The object of the programme is to move you away from daily foodstuffs which contribute to your excess weight. Sounds crazy but it really works.I started Lighter Life 18 months ago and have never looked back. The programme uses wholly nutritional food packs which contain all the vitamins and minerals required for a healthy lifestyle. You consume 4 food packs a day, which come in a selection of soups, shakes or bars. Along with the food packs you should also drink at least four litres of water a day.
Sounds crazy, impossible, will never work, dangerous almost!!!All these thoughts ran through my head but the desire to lose weight intrigued me so I gave it a go, and what’s more it worked. I have lost almost 5 stone, have kept it off for a year and both feel and look wonderful, dare I say.

The programme uses food packs because it is easier to lose weight by cutting out food altogether. Just like an alcoholic should stay away from alcohol rather than having the occasional glass. The difference being for the food addict this is just a short term measure until the weight is off. The food packs contain everything you body requires and conform to government standards and regulations.
Once you have reached the weight you want to be, there is a management programme in which you look at why you eat and what you weight. In order to be successful in keeping the weight off you have to change old habits. Returning to your previous lifestyle will only make you put back on the weight and more. This programme offers so much more than a weekly weigh in!Like I said it is easy, but you have to stick at it and go at it whole heartedly.
IS IT SAFE?
Yes of course, it is government approved and Lighter Life work closely with medical experts. They only have your interests at heart. But it is important that you follow the programme correctly in order for it to work. During the weight loss phase you are likely to be better nourished than you have ever been and feel wonderful.
STARTING THE PROGRAMME
Lighter Life has a website with a list of counsellors and should have one in your area. You telephone the counsellor and make an appointment to find out more about the programme. Really think it through before embarking. Once starting the programme the first few days can be awful, almost like withdrawal symptoms from alcohol but I promise this is short lived and you will soon feel wonderful.
