Advantages: Makes Guitars Sound Better Disadvantages: ????????????????????????
...beaters) have used it. It is also a dam good pedal.
Righty ho then before I rant about the sound a little description of this baby. It costs around about £40, and is encased in a bright orange aluminum box, if that is not enough to make you want to buy it then I don't know. There is a black rubber foot switch type thing on it, which is designed to be stomped upon. You press the switch once to switch the effect on and once more to switch it off, it is bloody sturdy and can take a lot of punishment, which is terribly handy if you gig with it. Their is also a little red LED light on the box that tells you when it is on or off, this is an unbelievably handy thing trust me on this.
Ok there are also two audio sockets one is marked input and you attach the cable that comes from your guitar to this. The other is marked output and you attach...

Advantages: Cheap, looks good, sounds good Disadvantages: hard to get to lower controls, confusing battery position.
...?
The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery, which is not included with the pedal. It can also be powered by a 9V power supply, which is also not included.
There are advantages for both means of power and they are the following.
• When using a battery you have to make sure it will not run out in the middle of an important gig. A power supply would make sure this will not happen. (Unless there is a power cut….bummer!)
• When using a power supply, there are more cables on stage and more sockets needed, a battery would unclutter the stage and leave sockets for other people to use.
• A battery is hard to replace, I myself can’t even remember how to get it in, never mind the old one out!
• The power supply just connects at the side, making it easy to use.
• If you trip or kick the power cable then the connecter might come loose and will not work...

Advantages: Small, portable, practical Disadvantages: Slight loss of sound quality at high volumes, eats up batteries
...Features: 2 watt speaker, Input socket, headphone socket, tone control, volume control, on/off/overdrive control, on/off indicator light, belt clip and a mains adapter socket.
This small amp is perfect for you if you like playing guitar well into the night since it has a headphone socket and it is also quite a quiet amp but it can also be a beast when you pump up the volume or, if you travel around a lot and you don’t want to lug around a bigger amp. It also makes a good first amp since it is relitvly cheap but for what you pay it is extremely good value for money.
The Marshall MS-2 is an amazingly practical device, it is 100% portable since it is powered by a 9V battery but if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on expensive batteries then it can also be powered by a 9V DC cable (which can be purchased for around £15...
