Limelite limescale remover is a spray on limescale remover. I have used it in my bathroom and I am fairly impressed with the results.

The general aim is to spray it on like a bathroom cleaner, leave for a couple of minutes and wipe or rinse off. I use the spray on my taps as they are quite calcified and also my toilet (if you are going to do this please don't use it with any other products like cistern blocks etc., as you could cause an explosion or noxious chemicals to be given off).

I live in quite a hard water area and my toilet and taps often look quite grimey, last night I found my bottle of Lime Lite spray and went to work. I removed most of the water from the toilet bowl and sprayed a healthy amount on the bowl and left it, the product isn't designed to be used on enamel so i didn't leave it on for too long. I used the brush to move it around slightly before flushing. The bowl was left really clean and shiny and the small lime deposits were removed.

I then set to work on my basin and taps. The spray went on well, but as it is a spray it is a bit thin so it didn't stay on the worst areas very well like a gel would. I sprayed it on and left it for a couple of minutes. I was very impressed with how the taps came up, the taps were incredibly shiny and the limescale had gone to a degree.

I moved on to the bath, I didn't think it was very scaley but cleaned it anyway. I was quite pleasantly surprised how shiny it came up.

Lime lite is useful if you have limescale marks on flat surfaces which are not enamel. As most of my limescale was on the underside of the taps and on my enamel sink the product isn't that useful.

The price is quite high for something that in effect is to be used as a general purpose bathroom cleaner. It is around £2.30 a bottle, which would probably last you six months.

The smell is quite strong and you MUST wear gloves and wash your skin afterwards. I used the product 20 hours a go and my bathroom still smells of the product.

It is quite a useful product, but for more difficult areas I would use a gel which is more viscous and would stick to the harder places.

In future I will probably use a general cheap bathroom cleaner and white vinegar for the limescale, which has worked in the past, and the smell is a bit better!

Overall a reasonable product, only useful if you have a non-enamel suite and you have very severe limescale you want to remove. Can be used as an all purpose cleaner.
