    Here is my response to Mr. Zeeman's challenge as repeated below. HERE'S A CHALLENGE: Write a food op containing the words ~ bucket, wallpaper, nuclear explosion, mushroom cloud, elevation, bathing a dog, stainless steel, league-table, dirty, history ~ Mr Zeeman has already set the ball rolling. I was searching for a poem I once wrote in a bedsit in Cardiff many years ago.     As a lifelong vegetarian I have never enjoyed eating meat replacement products that are so favoured by the frozen foods departments of supermarkets. To me they have an off putting flavour and texture which leaves me desperate for a fresh vegetable or two. That said, on a rare trip to the frozen veggie meals section of my local supermarket I came across these sundried tomato and herb sausages. Now I am a sucker for those 2 for 1 offers and after studying the ingredients intently (2% sundried tomato, 5% tomato puree) I decided to take the plunge and buy some.     Lina McCartneys normal sausages are one of my favourites so when I saw the tomatoe and herb ones I was looking forward to eating them. Maybe I was expecting too much. I mean they are a slightly different colour. But they didn't seem to have much taste (the normal ones don't either) especially if use ate anything at the same time that may cover it up like bread. Not the most strongly tasting thing itself. The texture is OK though and they do go well with meals such as roasts where you can cover them in gravy. But do try them as it may only be me that is not particually impressed. Though you ... more
