A Very easy Gate to Fit

Advantages: very easy instructions, very easy to fit
Disadvantages: says you can open it one handed but hmm this is a bit tricky

We already have 2 stairgates in our house but one of them has broken and although my son is now 2 1/2 years old I really feel that we still need one by our living room door as it leads into the kitchen and I want to keep my son safe especially when I am cooking. I had a look online for stairgates and the Lindam Easy Fit Plus gate looked the best price, as we already have a Lindam gate I know that the quality of them is very good. Packaging The stairgate comes in a large square flat brown box , you will find on the box a picture of the stairgate with the product details that comes in various languages. Bettacare-Auto Close Stair Gates

Advantages: 3 sizes, auto-closing

. For those of you who do not have smooth walls or have wall paper, fear not you can still purchase these gates and use screws to fix the wall cups. My husband installed the gates and then were up and usable within 30 minutes. The gates are also compatible to 'Y' Spindles for rounded stair posts. Just put the locking handwheel onto the 'Y' spindle and it will hold the gate securely on a rounded stair post. Should you need to extend your gates you are able to obtain additional extension bars. The 'Y' Spindles and additional extension bars are not included in the price and do cost extra. As I mentioned earlier you can hear when the gate has clicked shut, which can cause a slight problem if your child is like our little one. Good all rounder of a safety gate

Advantages: wider than average gates, looks good, sturdy, easy to fit, cheap
Disadvantages: hard to open one-handed, trip bar gets in the way

When my baby started to crawl, I started to research into safety gates so that I knew I was getting the best thing for my money and the most suitable for what I needed. I settled on one of these Lindam Easy Fit Plus Gates for the bottom of my stairs, and I chose a different one for the top. I was rather restricted in choice of safety gates due to the width of my staircase being rather larger than average.
