This is truly a box of tricks.
It is unlike any other multi-effects unit I have ever owned which is quite a considerable number from Tom Scholz, through Ibanez, Aria, Boss and ART.
The jury is still out on whether it is the ultimate sound processor though.
The idea is that Line6 have digitally sampled if you like, the sounds of the most popular amps and cabinets across a wide range of musical genres from country to acid metal ! They even supply pc software with the unit so you can "deep edit" the presets.
You can then choose one of these presets and supposedly instantly achieve something that is close to the sound you are aiming for.
That sounds simple enough, but, delving deeper soon shows up some issues.

8GB iPod Touch
As my boyfriend's birthday approached, I was panicking as to what to get him as men are a nightmare to shop for and I really wanted to get something exciting. I noticed that he kept borrowing my ipod nano and initially planned to get him one of his own but on the Apple website I saw the ipod touch and worked out that if I got him that then I could steal it and use it!
From the Apple website, the 8GB iPod Touch cost me £199 with free postage and packing and a free optional engraving. I thought this was a reasonable price it was nice and simple to order it online. I chose the free engraving option and this enabled me to have a two line engraving on the back (top centre) of the ipod. Obviously, it is a very good idea to check your spelling at this point as the ipod cannot be returned due your mistakes when ...
Advantages: Brilliant Features and Sound Quality, well worth the money. Disadvantages: Handle and knobs not very versatile.
The Line6 Spider III 210 is a 120 watt solid state amp with two 10" speakers, that comes complete with 12 different amp models, reverb, and 6 built in effects. Becoming available for purchase in 2006, I bought this amp for £210 from www.guitarampkeyboard.com in 2007 and haven't looked back since. It has over 350 pre set sounds (most of which are artist designed) you will find little need to altering the knobs. I play a Jackson DK2L through this amp and the sound is unbeatable in any other amp, of course this is more a metal amp than anything however you can get some really nice blues and clean sounds out of it. As for the transportability side, I was taking it to a gig and the strap broke meaning i had to carry the amp from the bottom the rest of the way.
