This pedal sounds great. It works equally well on vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, or anything else you want to sound better.
This unit really couldn't be easier to operate. There's nothing like spinning a knob till you get it right where you want it. Once you find a setting you like, you just push in and hold one of the four buttons untill the corresponding light blinks. Now your setting is saved.
The optional expression pedal is great! After saving one of your settings with the pedal in the down position, just move it into the up position and get the knobs the way you want them. Now move the pedal back and forth morphing between the two settings and see if you like it. If so, hold the button down and save again. This works great on the tremolo settings. What I do is set the bottom pedal position to a clean sound, then when the pedal gets pushed down the tremolo intensity and rate gets increased.
There are only four positions to save settings in, but with the expression pedal you actually get eight. This would be restrictive, except that this unit is so easy to use that you will start remembering all your favorite settings. Just writing this review, five or six of my favorite settings have come to mind.
The manual is easy to read, and explains what everything does, as well as a little info about the original units modelled for their sounds.
For the $209.00 I spent on this unit at the now closed Mars music, I couldn't of done better. I can't think of one thing bad about this pedal. It's built of steel, or some other heavy duty metal. I don't think you could break it without trying. Many drunken people some heavier then healthy, have stepped on this thing on their way through the room, and I've never even wondered if it was ok.
If your seriously considering buying this pedal, do it! If your suprised it doesn't do exactally what you thought, it'll be a good kind of surprise, because it's alot more then just a chorus pedal.
