The Line6Spider III 210 is a 120 watt solid state amp with two 10" speakers, that comes complete with 12 different amp models, reverb, and 6 built in effects. Becoming available for purchase in 2006, I bought this amp for £210 from www.guitarampkeyboard.com in 2007 and haven't looked back since. It has over 350 pre set sounds (most of which are artist designed) you will find little need to altering the knobs. I play a Jackson DK2L through this amp and the sound is unbeatable in any other amp, of course this is more a metal amp than anything however you can get some really nice blues and clean sounds out of it. As for the transportability side, I was taking it to a gig and the strap broke meaning i had to carry the amp from the bottom the rest of the way. The Line6Spider III 15 guitar combo amplifier is a 15 watt solid state guitar amplifier with built-in amp and effects modeling. It's a good small amplifier for a starting guitar player, and makes a great home practice amp for more experienced players.
The Line6Spider III is a superb amp for it's price. It is a 4 channel amp with 6 effects (up to 2 at a time). It has a headphone jack and a CD/MP3 input so you can play along with your music. This amp is pretty sturdy so it won't break easily. There is 4 choices of sound clean, crunch, metal and insane. On the downside though this amp needs to be up quite loud to get the right tones.

The Line6Spider is very simply the best emulation combo amp in the £400 range. It not only has a ton of on-board effects(which I will discuss later), but the sound quality that you get from this little 100W kicker is amazing. It has2x10" speakers, a footswitch input (footswitch/floorboard sold separately), and the usual inputs and sends.
The effects on this are unparalleled. Usually on effects-based amps, the effect quality is second rate, but not here. It has a tape echo, flanger, delay, chorus, and many types of overdrive and distortion, all in 4 channels that featuring varying preset conditions.
