Shoddy, shocking awful piece of equipment.
I purchased one of these for my NTL connection with the intention of using it with both my Laptop (wireless) and my PC (via Ethernet). I had expected the Wifi to be the difficult bit, but with this device, I simply couldn't get it to hold onto an Ethernet connection!
I went through all sorts of diagnostics (contacting Linksys on several occasions), all to no avail. Every now and again (usually when it was least convenient), my PC would simply say "Network cable is unplugged" and I'd have to power off and power off the Linksys kit. The representatives from the manufacturer seemed quite happy to instruct me to do things which they (and I) knew would end our Chat Support session. This was clearly a simple ruse palm me off on the next available tech. Each worse than the last!
I have worked in networking for more than 10 years so I'm pretty well qualified to know what I'm talking about, I can honestly say, I have never used such a poorly functioning piece of equipment. Avoid like the plague.
Sorry Linksys, you just aint Cisco!
