Lag-free head-to-head or Internet gaming, without stringing wires! The Wireless-B Game Adapter gives any wired-Ethernet-equipped game console wireless connection capabilities. The...
more...Game Adapter can be used in two different ways. If you have an existing home wireless network with a cable or DSL Internet connection, the Game Adapter lets your PlayStation 2, Xbox or GameCube attach to the network so you can get into online games without running wires to the game room. Or, use a pair of Game Adapters to form a "cable-less cable" between two game consoles for head-to-head gaming - in the same room, or all the way across the house. It's completely driver-free, so there's no software-installation hassle, and it works on any platform. And the innovative Channel Selector Button with LED display makes wireless network configuration into child's play. If you're using two Game Adapters, just press their Channel Selector Buttons until the channel numbers match, and you're connected. To connect to an existing wireless network, press the Button to select Infrastructure mode. If your setup's a little different, there's an easy-to-use PC-based Setup Wizard to guide you through. Then just plug the Adapter into your game box, and go. The Wireless-B Gaming Adapter provides lag-free gaming with communication speeds up to 11Mbps. So spend your time gaming, not stringing wires, with the Linksys Wireless-B Gaming Adapter.

Ever wanted to get your PS2 online and connected without having to connect with a cable from your PS2 in, say, your bedroom and the router or modem is downstairs? Well you can.

The Linksys Wireless Gaming Adapter is the only thing you need to play online gaming on. What this accessory can do is genius. With this accessory plugged in and connected to your network adapter, you can use it to play LAN games if there is another one of these adapters around the building for head-to-head games via a LAN channel. If you prefer to play over the Internet and play against the world, then that can be done too!!

The adapter can effortlessly connect a PS2 console or Xbox console to give it wireless network capabilities and there is two ways of doing this:-

1. If you have an existing home wireless network setup with a Broadband connection, the adapter will be able to pick up the wireless connection and uses it to connect you, the gamer, to the world of online gaming on your console and the best thing about it is, there is no cables running to the point of where your console is placed.

OR 2. If you have a pair of the game adapters, then you can setup LAN play by allowing these adapters to form a "cable-less cable" between two consoles for brilliant head-to-head gaming either in the same room or across a building, possibly in different rooms. Genius!

Another great thing about this piece of kit is that it is driver-free. this means that it does not need any software to make it work on the console. If you tend to set a profile channel up, there is a CD with a setup program so you can configure the profile you want to use for gaming without installing any software. Insert the CD included with the pack and then set up the connection under the chosen profile. Default profile to use will be P1 which will be shown on the adapter when pressing the channel button. This appears after the "In" profile.

And here is the bit I'm about to talk about in more detail - the Channel Selector. With this innovative feature, the Channel Selector button with the LED display makes the configuration to work the network play a doddle. If you fancy a LAN head-to-head gaming session, you just have to press the Channel Selector button until the channel numbers on both adapters match in order to work the LAN play. However, if you want to connect to an existing wireless Internet connection through the network, press the button until you see the Infrastructure mode which is shown on the LED as "In".

The adapter also allows lag-free gaming with communication speeds of up to 11Mbps (Megabits per second) which means that you can have the best fun out of the online gaming experience.

In my opinion, this accessory is an absolute must have as this is made by Linksys and also Cisco Systems and this means that these brand names can be trusted. It works perfectly and I could not find any faults with it at all. Recommended for both Xbox and PS2 gamers about to get their consoles online or existing online gamers.
