Having grown bored of using dial up internet I moved on to using an ADSL Modem but still found it aggravating having to plug my Laptop into the ADSL modem so decided to do a bit of research and invested in the Linksys WAG200G Wireless ADSL Modem Route.

So thats the facts behind the router now what did I think of it?
I bought this for about £35 off Amazon and was impressed when i took it out the box to see how good it looked. So now came the interesting bit... The Installation!!
Looks easy to do - you are provided with a CD-rom to install and a little brochure with step by step instructions how to apparantly install it. So as a young guy who has a good understanding of computers and technology i thought give me 15 mins and i'll be surfing the net. So with that in mind after trying for 2 hours i gave up thinking there must be something wrong with my new purchase. I decided to sleep on it and try again the next morning. Another hour gone and i thought i'd try out the freephone help line.
Having spent about 10 minutes on the phone the person at the other end of the phone realised they couldn't help as i had been put through to America!! I redialled and got through to a friendly guy called Ali, who step by step run through the installation. It took an hour to set up over the phone but Ali ran through absolutely everything with me, from install to setting up the security.
Having now used this for about a month i think its a great piece of kit. It's very fast, small and looks great but in the back of my mind will always be the pain it took to get set up!!
