lippy liner Advantages: cheap and easy to apply:) Disadvantages: I found it hard to find:( ...liner and eventually came across Rimmel Exaggerate. It was exactly what i had been looking for, yet i could only find it in one shop out of 4. I didnt want a pencil because i find they seem to look to hard, and i wanted a soft look. Rimmel Exaggerate gave me just that a soft look which stood out. My only problem was that once i bought the lip liner i couldnt find a lip stick a slightly different colour which i could fill in the gaps with. i decided ... ...have now decided it looks a lot better without heavy makeup and if you want a natural look this is cheap (£2/£3) and easy to apply. Kiss me quick Advantages: Gorgeous neutral pinky tones, will suit most complexions Disadvantages: PRICE!!! ...glossy mags each month about Stila Cosmetics I decided to treat myself to a couple of new products whilst in Space NK (beauty store) in Brighton (I'm a makeup shopping junkie!!) Space NK seems to be one of those shops where 'it girls' shop, as the price lists aren't readily to hand and you feel slightly embarassed asking the price of each and every product you lay eye on. So amongst the purchased I made that day I bought the Stila Pocket Palette ... ...that I really only use one of the colours most of the time, and in reality I'd much prefer one of those twisty tube applicators with just one colour in. Lip Liner that Lasts! Advantages: Cheap, long lasting, easy to use, does not smudge Disadvantages: Left lips a bit dry A good long lasting lip pencil. Here is the problem: All of these lipliner pencils get their staying power by drying a bunch of pigment onto the lips. That pigment is often fairly thick and sticky. It also can be drying. I paid £2.95 on a Boots sale, a good deal for what I got, a lip liner which claimed: "A long-lasting lip liner that effortlessly draws beautiful lines that do not feather or smudge. May be used to color the entire lip. " Very True ... ...6-7 hours, although it only looked decent for about 4-5 of that. It made it through multiple cups of coffee and lunch, but eating at that point beat it up and it looked pretty bad. Still, it lasted longer than most lip liners I've used. Though, on the downside this, it took a long time to remove, a lot of scrubbing with cleansing cloths that left my lips dry and irritated. ... Great colour, but it doesn't stay on lips long! Advantages: great colour, lasts a long time Disadvantages: needs lots of reapplying, can crack and appear dry after as little as half an hour Barry M has become my favourite make recently because of its absolutly brilliant, vibrant colours and price. I bought this lipstick after trying it out on the back of my hand and I found, as always, the colour was to die for. However, in actual use its doesn't stay on for very long, in fact its staying power is hindered by talking, drinking and even smiling. The packaging of the product is sturdy and hard-wearing, and looks chic and for a young buyer. ... ...The lipstick is easy to apply although it takes a few good strokes before it becomes really red on the lips. The initial colour is fantastic - very old-fashioned movie star glamour, and quite matte which makes it look young and fun rather than cheap. Clinique Quickliner Advantages: No sharpening needed! stays put Disadvantages: Slightly expensive but worth it nevertheless ...to pick one up.
