All in all this is a great lipgloss; it looks good, smells good and tastes good however due to the price this is more of a luxury item rather than an everyday gloss. ...I have started to use Carmex lipbalm on a friend's recommendation and I was surprised to see and feel how well it worked! I've always suffered of dried and cracky lips particularly in winter and even if I always was equipped with lip balms and spent quite some money on it as I preferred stuff like Labello, it never really had a long-term effect. Neutrogena wasn't all bad either, but I have to say Carmex was where the revolution in lip care has come. ...
...and good for your health. Carmex original was lately accompanied by strawberry and cherry version - those I didn't have a chance to try though. I don't like the jar because not only as a nurse I don't like the idea of applying the balm on lips using my fingers when I can't wash hands beforehand. I do not often use Lancome products, as although they give fantastic results, they are far too often fantasticly EXPENSIVE! I would rate this product highly as it was not as sticky as my usual rimmel juicy gloss, which would give the hair stuck to face look. I love the too faced makeup range, and when I saw this supposedly miraculous lip-plumping lip gloss that makes your lips luscious and pumped up I thought I was in heaven. Then I tried it. I put it on my christmas list and my mum got it for me this year. Come christmas morning I was so excited and I opened it, applied it and sat in excitement waiting for what would happen. At first it was ok, then after about 10 seconds it starts to burn and sting ...
...after about 5 minutes and your lips look like a trouts, honestly. It's not a particularly attractive plumping. The more you use lip injection, the more sore it gets. Each time you apply it, it gets a little more like somebody stabbing you in the lip with a corn cob holder.
