I remember when cd writers came with 8.4.32 speeds, and would cost you £120. They would take ages to burn software and you would dream of faster speeds!. Liteon equipment for me is quality and reliable quality at that. I have bought two liteon drives over two years and both are still working today. One drive is a 40/12/48 and i had that over 12 months. The second drive is a 52/32/52 and ive had that nearly 12 months and on both drives there has never been a problem! The Liteon dvd drives are built to the same high quality standard as their rewriter range. Many friends on the net all buy liteon products becouse of reliability and good build quality. Ive been uncertain of buying equipment incase it breaks down, or the company goes bankrupt and i loose my warranty, But liteon has gone from strenth to strenth and made massive profits and turnover of multi millions world wide. Not many companys can start small and turn into a massive corparation over the space of a few months ?. If you are looking for a new rewriter or a dvd drive ? then you cannot go wrong with liteon :-). If they where rubbish ? i wouldant have 3 of their drives in my pc would i ?. Buy liteon and buy quality not crap!
