Advantages Fast speeds, value for money

Disadvantages none

Lite-on are a well respected company that have been around for a while.

LITE-ON oringinated from a team of scientist and engineers from ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Insitute) in 1995. LITE-ON Information Technology corportation are constantly devoloping anit-vibration mechanical design, advanced circuit design and increased performance. LITE-ON Information Technology Corporation (LITE-ON I.T.) this was a big part of the LITE-ON group which concentrated on the optical storage devices which then led to the creation on these fine CDROM drives we have today.

This LITE-ON CD-RW is a very good drive and after purchasing one for personnal use I have purchased many more for computers I have built for friends and family. Very easy installation, driver support is excelent.

With dvd-rw's coming down alot in price recently I would suggest to anyone to get a dvd recorder but if you want to save money and just want to burn cds then this is for you.

Also I have never had a single problem with any LITE-ON drive. I had a friend delete his drivers once and that caused a little problem but LITE-ON support is really good and I was able to get new drivers pretty quick.

Now for the Technical specs:

Gear-Driven tray disc-loading Mechanism to Improve reliability & life, no any belt-loose belt-broken issue

VAS® ( Vibration Absorber System Mechanisam ) to reduce vibration & noise during read & write, which means less noise for those who like there PC to be quiet.Well thanks for reading, I would recommend this to anyone after a CD-RW or perhaps a newer LITE-ON but I would also suggest a DVD-RW if you can afford it, LITE-ON also make top quality DVD-RW drives so please consider them.
